I just thought this would be a little interesting for all. This year, we will experience 4 unusual dates. 1/1/11, 1/11/11, 11/1/11 and of course 11/11/11.
Now go and figure this out....... Take the last 2 digits of the year you were born plus the age you will be this year and the answer will equal to 111 ..

Okay, I was born in the year 2000. I am 12 years old. Doing the math I come up with the answer of 012.
I guess some of us kids aren't a dumb as you old folks say AND some of you old folks aren't as smart as you think you are!

I guess you should stipulate that this only works if you born between 1900 and 1999. |

Scooterran, you were right on the money. In my case 36+75 = 111. Are we in the Twilight Zone yet?

Well my cause does not come up to 111, 43+67=110.

Alley, either your another year older than you thought or your birth certificate needs to be looked at..

what i did was, i chose my favorite sexual position and add my age this year(which is 42)........indeed,i end up with 111.....wow it works.....you are very clever scooteran!!!
i did it on M/C's , i keep on getting 136.....Help!! am i doing it wrong or what???LOL ;D

Works only for those born in the 20th century, not for preteens too young to be riding scooters legally. ;D Here's why docs!: Let YB be year born, L2D be last 2 digits of that year, and ATY be age this year. Also let A and B be the digits of that year and SUM be the requested sum of last 2 digits and age this year. Then: YB = 1900 + 10A + B. L2D therefore = 10A + B. ATY = this year minus birth year = (2011 - YB) = 2011 - (1900 + 10A + B) = 111 - (10A + B). SUM = L2D + ATY = (111 - 10A - B) + (10A + B) = 111. True whatever year you were born in the 1900's. However, if you were born in the 2000's the total will be 11, not 111. YB would be 2000 + 10A + B, L2D would be 10A + B as before, ATY would be (2011 - YB) = 2011 - (2000 + 10A + B) = 11 - (10A + B). After adding back 10A + B you're left with 11. Ancient people born in the 19th century would see a total of 211. good thing i still remember my college algebra...i got A+ on this subject fyi..  |
