Do not buy from this company.. They go by a few names. Barco Trading and barcodeals.com and the ATV parts man.. Scammers.. I ordered a wheel and rim from them on the 5th.. Was told they have it in stock.. then was told they didn't .. then was told that it was shipped on the 17th.. And low and behold it never was.. So they charged me ahead of time for the order.. took the money and NEVER shipped the wheel and rim.. had to dispute the charge.. so be careful with this company.. I know they are on Ebay too. Just a heads up..

The person I was dealing with was the OWNER.. its some fly by night company based out of Texas.. They have NO idea what they are doing.. Sent emails back and forth. The guy calls me up screaming at me cause I questioned about when it was going to be shipped. Its the case of you pay for what you get.. They had the cheapest price.. 92.00 shipped for a Wheel and Rim set.. and they scammed me.. So im disputing it with the credit card place to get my money back..

We love the INTERNET and we think this forum is great ( and refer our customers here all the time} but it is sad when anyone can post untrue derogatory statements about a business especially one that tries so hard to take care of every customer. We process 100's of orders a month for Chinese made scooters - go karts - atvs and we help so many people who cannot find the part they need. We are a direct importer of parts from China and keep a large inventory of parts. We have people on our staff that have been in the China power sports industry for 9 years and we have many contacts in this industry to help us locate those " hard to find parts '. We answer our phones here 6 days a week and we go out of way to assist all of our customers and over 50% of our business is repeat business. Now enough about us: This customer justguy1 is easily remembered because of the rude emails he sent to us and he actually called our office and yelled and used profanity at a women in our office and made her cry. He called and ordered a wheel for a scooter and his credit card would not process so we sent him emails and called and left messages for him and after a few days he responded and this was on a Friday afternoon late and the next Monday the customer sent an email wanting a tracking number and we responded that when the order ships our system will automatically send an email with tracking and shortly after this he sent a rude email stating how we were not honest and then called yelling and using profanity to a women in our office so our parts mgr canceled his order and refunded it. The customer then called me a few days later and apologized and ask us to please let him order the wheel and because he seemed sincere I agreed and figured that he must of just had a bad day and I told him myself that this wheel would ship from CA and would take a few days to ship and he was fine with that. A day or so goes by and he sends another email about how he is being ripped off so I canceled and refunded his order right away. Our credit card processing company ( Chase) sent us an email last year describing customers that order & then start calling and emailing right away with complaints in an effort to be able to dispute their charge and try to get the product for free or money back and keep the product. We are a small company and we are pretty laid back here and we know how difficult it is sometimes for customers to find parts in this industry so we always put forward our best effort with all orders. I am the office mgr here and this was a very unusual situation with this customer and we have never had to cancel an order like this before and honestly we just do not receive complaints. We are not perfect and if we make a mistake we correct it and will discount the order or send free parts. I would normally not go into so much detail about a customer order but when I read this I was shocked that he would post something so untrue about us and I felt I must reply here. I am not sure what is going on with this justguy1 but what he stated in his post is not true and we feel that we provide a great service for customers and we will continue to do so everyday. - caringmgr1

I have to say that I ordered a wheel recently and got a call from them just to make sure if I needed one for disk or drum brakes. I had the wheel just a few days latter. Very Happy.

Ok... Now I get to defend my self... since I guess we can actually spew a bunch of stuff online. Since I NEVER SPOKE TO A WOMAN ON THE PHONE UNLESS WILL IS A WOMAN that statement is so far from being true.. So lets do this. You said my credit card would not process.. How about we do some proof of things.. I will post the transaction that shows when I ordered it and the same day the credit card was charged which was that same afternoon.. And since I needed a specific Wheel as we discussed and you said OH YEAH WE CARRY EVERYTHING... ITS NO PROBLEM WILL HAVE IT RIGHT OUT TO YOU.. Then I get a call from a company that you supposedly use and speak to GARY and he tells me that THEY DON'T HAVE THAT WHEEL.. so Yeah your a LIAR.. You charged me and DIDNT EVEN HAVE THE WHEEL.. And when I tried to speak to you on the phone about Gary calling me you started to scream at me.. so much I had to move the phone away from my head.. Real nice way to treat a PAID customer.. Since you had my money and I HAD NO PRODUCT I would consider that paid.. Then when I requested a tracking number for the shipment for me to be home.. You started with all the excuses.. They shouldn't of called you.. We dont have the wheel.. We are trying to get the wheel.. If that is the case then you should of NOT charged me to you were sure that you were able to get the wheel. And I have emails just like you do.. So remind me when again I called and spoke to a WOMAN??? In my opinion.. Your a liar .. You took the money without even having the product.. I did get my refund after THREE weeks of trying to get an order completed.. IF you didnt have the product you shouldn't of tried to sell it.. I don't like the way you handled the situation and feel that your company is scammers.. Its my opinion.. and im entitled to that.. But if your gonna tell what happened.. At least be honest about it.. Tell them I spoke to WILL and got yelled at cause of the company calling me out of the blue.. Be honest. That's all..

The rebuttle is on, And I do really hate when you order a product and they charge you right off the bat and then they tell you it is out of stock after the fact. Charge the person when you have the product and just before it gets shipped out. Thats the honest way of doing it.
Even more honest is to let the customer know it is out of stock or that a notification can be sent when and if it is in stock. The customer then has a choice either wait for it or go try and find the product somewhere else. But that is why they will not do that, they instead take your money right away and you then have to wait for it or try and cancel the order. In the meantime the seller is trying to get the part before it gets canceled. It is one of the oldest tricks in the business world. Lefty

not even a debate Alley.. Cause what you wrote is EXACTLY what happened to me.. Was told they had it.. Charged the same day. And I have RECORDS to prove it and then played the waiting game.. It was a blessing that the order got canceled.. found one locally for half the price..

Justguy1, Good for you, when I need something and I need it as soon as possible. I will call and make sure it is in stock. I did that when I ordered my 60mm Stroker Crank I called several that had it in stock and asked where it was made. If they said there are no markings on it or did not know then you Damn well know it is a China made product. I found one From Carlos made in Twain marked and he had it in stock and I ordered it and got it in TWO days. Alleyoop

I really wish I would have seen these posts prior to purchasing a scooter from Barco. I just purchased a scooter from Barco through ebay last month and my issues to date include: (1) Purchased through eBay, was directed to call and complete my order. Called 4 days in a row, no one would return my call so I could not complete my purchase. (2) Because I could not complete and pay for my purchase, I got warnings from eBay that they would tag me as a non-payer if my purchase was not marked as paid within 7 days. (3) The eBay add indicated that it would ship within 5-7 days. On the 7th day I asked for an update and was told that they ship in 7-10 days but that this is their busy season so it could take longer. (4) The scooter arrived with no damage to the carton, however, one of the plastic pieces was cracked. I reported it to Barco via email with pics attached within 2 hours of delivery. I was told by Billing they would have someone in parts contact me. I received no response for over a week. I contacted parts directy, who told me that I should have contacted barco within 48 hours (even though I had). They did offer to see what they could do for me regarding the damage at that point and requested more pics. I sent more pics, days went by with no response. I think you can see the pattern here. (5) I ordered the maintenance pack with the scooter. I received an email stating my order was complete. However, when the scooter arrived, there was no parts pack. I again went through the rigors of multiple phone calls and emails, and when I finally got through to some one, was advised that one of the parts in the maintenance pack was on backorder. No ETA provided for when I might receive it. (6) The scooter was advertised on eBay as no assembly required: "This scooter comes fully assembled, except for the mirrors". I received the scooter and the parts that were not assembled included the handlebars, spedometer, battery, fuel gauge, and head lamp need to be installed. The battery also needs to be filled with some liquid that was provided. I've advised Barco that this is one of my complaints, and no one there will acknowledge my issue. (7) I received the certificate of origin via USPS as promised, however, no one at Barco signed it so it's no good. (8) When I called Barco regarding the lack of signature on the cert of origin, the recommendation was that I go ahead and sign it for them.
I've now had this scooter since April 14th, and I still can't ride it because I can't get the title, I have a cracked part that I don't know when I will get a replacement for it, and I can't figure out how to get the battery working since it was not charged when I received it.
I've had two different people there tell me this is their busy season. Both people have also told me that they're doing 2-3 peoples' jobs. I've also been given the excuse twice that the reason I didn't receive a response is because someone had to leave early for the day due to a sick child.
At this point, I wish I have never purchased from this company, and I have no line of sight to being able to drive this vehicle (which by the way is my go-to-work car, so I'm now having to pay for bus fair since I wasn't able to get the scooter up and running in a reasonable amount of time).
Does anyone have any ideas how I can get this company to acknowledge all of these issues, fix them, and even compensate me for the assembly labor?

Krichard, sorry that all happened to you.. Im sure you talked to Will and probably Betty.. See the issue is they are like middle men.. You call them or order stuff from then and they go to OTHER companies to get leftover parts and scooters at a cheap price and then sell it to the public.
As in my original post I ordered a tire and rim from them and PAID UPFRONT for it.. Only to find out that I was dealing with someone in California for the rim and tire when Barco is in Texas.. So they are like I said the middle man... And it seems there stuff they get are leftover cheap stuff and if anything happens to anything you go thru the company they get it from.. they DO NOT HAVE A PARTS DEPT.. The person they are telling you to call is the place they bought the scooter from to sell to you. And I know what its like to play phone tag with them.. And forget about emails, they don't like to email back.. I hope this works out for you and you get this scooter fixed.. If not I would see into contacting the Texas Attorney General and their lemon laws.. I hope you have all the contact info and or emails still...

Another week gone by without a response from anyone at Barco. Lindsey said she would send out a replacement certificate of origin with a signature on it last Tuesday or Wednesday via priority mail. Haven't received it yet. No response to my email requesting a status update and of course no one answering phones at Barco, plus no voicemail option. I've been asking Will for over a week for a status update on the replacement part for the damage on the scooter, no response, doesn't answer phone. I was suprised - I called this morning and he actually answered. He took my name and put me on hold, still waiting on hold now 15 minutes later...Actually got the battery charged and installed Saturday, determined the right blinker doesn't work, that makes complaint #9. Come on Barco, throw me a bone here!
