I know that some of you all are not racing fans but I am and always will be but the Silver and Black #3 meant more to people than just a race car driver he was a father and husband and his loss is meant to so many like myself today whether or not your a fan most of you all can relate to him as a human being and take a moment to reflect and to say thanks in your own way and to pause when the Daytona 500 lap #3 i will raise my 3finger salute in tears as I am now and at the 3rd lap remember the greatest driver you'll ever meet. I had never had the opportunity to meet him but my brother did and I really can't say anymore

While I am not a fan of the 'roundy round' type of racing I am a Dale Earhard fan.I was raised in the great Smoky Mountains of NC and that is where Stock car racing began as an outgrowth of moon shine running. Dale was and probably will be the greatest of the great drivers. I agree with PJ totally.

Racing seems to take a lot of greats of all ages It was sad to see Peter Lenz pass last year, way too young
