When the new motor arrived I noticed that it was only similar to the fact that it was the same size and shape with only one difference look at the photo's below the first is the old one the second pic is the new one The tube on the old one has no screw holes for it to be bolted to the new scooter can i do something fairly easy to solve this delema. Do I need the hose closest to you and slightly to the right?

Easy problem to fix. Through the hole thing in the garbage. The new engine has a non ERG head so that stuff is no longer necessary.

That is right, less problems and Leaks and clogged stuff you will not need to worry about. Mine has not one single emission crap on it just one Vent Hose from the Valve cover. Alleyoop

Ya, it is important that you have the small barb on the valve cover attached to a tube. It can run to the air filter in a stock set-up or to a catch can, or I like to stick a fuel filter on the end and zip tie it to the frame, above the engine somewhere. Oil will come out of this tube, and if you have it high on the frame it will run back into the valve cover... The fuel filter, allows air in, but stops the dirt/dust.
This vent has to be open or your engine will build up excessive pressure in the oil...
You would be amazed at how many times I see people riding with this vent closed off. No wonder they have oil use problems...
