Im not sure if I should be posting here but I figured I would try. I picked up a 94 Yamaha Razz with a vertical motor and I am trying to transplant a motor from a later model Razz or Jog which is a horizontal motor with a 70cc big bore kit. My intentions are to slightly lower the front and with the new motor being horizontal it will have to be stretched. I am wondering is anyone has ever done this, I have a buddy that is going to try to build me some sort of a custom swing arm that I can mount the motor to, but we haven't dug into it yet. I picked up the scoot for 50.00 with a title so I really couldn't go wrong, I just knew I needed a new motor so I could get away from the chain drive. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Sounds like an interesting project. I'm not familiar with that scoot so won't be of much help. I would suggest giving MonsterGY6 a call. They do some amazing custom scoots.

Its chain driven, you are very limited on making it faster. otherwise nothing at all, just needs to be cleaned up...I bought a different motor with a 70cc kit already installed that has a CVT.

where are you located?
take some pics of the current mount setup, and the replacement motor. make sure to take stuff off so we can see what we are looking at.
a 50 gy6 should be much easier to mount than a 150 gy6! but a 150 would be more fun lol seriously tho take those pics i will see if i can steer you in the right direction. i am currently making my own custom 150cc gy6 motorcycle too i call it the moto-scooteR go check it out

I have an SV650 shock showing up monday, this should give me a nice sporty ride. Should also have some pics of the mount by then as well.

more like a solid ride... an sv650 is full sized sport bike. granted its probably a lighter one (my bro has one) but still....

Yep, thats the idea. I've been riding sportbikes for about 15 years, this little thing shoud really rip so im not looking for a nice cushy ride.
