Hello, everyone - I am attempting to change a belt on my Roketa Bali 150. I have everything taken apart but cannot figure out how to get the tension right in the belt. Trust me - I have the right size belt. My Haynes repair manual says to gently ease the belt out of the clutch pulley to increase tension. Well - this is impossible with one person. It takes all of my strength just to compress the clutch pulley to slip the belt in. Once it's in the pulley it is too tight to slip around the drive shaft - is there a special tool to hold the clutch pulley open so I can get the right tension - like I said both hands are being used just to compress the pulley because it is so tight, so I have no way of easing the belt out to adjust the tension (no more hands). Any insight would be of great help and much appreciated. I am no mechanic and got this far on my own - it seems like the simplest thing - but it is impossible for me to do. Thank you and God Bless...

Impact wrench is your best friend ! If you remove the retaining front nut on the variator face to install your belt, make d#@$ sure you get the nut threaded on right, when you reinstall it or you will learn the hardway like I did and strip the threading out ! Bill C.

PLEEEEASE don't use an impact wrench on a variator nut to install it. Tighten it with a regular wrench and then torque it to spec which is about 35-40 Nms
There is a reason... behind the variator is the main gear for the kick starter. It is on a taper shaft. Using an impact wrench will drive that gear too far up the shaft. Two things will happen. You will crack the aluminum case, or you will never be able to get the gear off the shaft if you have to replace a bearing or seal...
The second reason is that these nuts are soft like butter and the impact wrench will slip and round it off...
Use an impact wrench to remove the nut, but put it on carefully and torque it ...
