Hello Doc's This is my cargo carrier project that's been on the back burner for quite a long time now... I finally got around to executing the project... It weighs around 20 lb... It's rated for 150 lb load capacity but I figure it should be good for 200 lb... Which should be plenty, besides that's really a lot of weight for any motorcycle especially when the weight is behind the rear axle... I haven't had a chance to road test it yet, so I don't know how it'll handle w/ any kind of weight on it... Main purpose is for shopping, light hauls... This project isn't quite completed yet, & I'm open to ideas & or suggestions you might want to contribute.... David Sr.

Dave Where did you get the rack? What part number and web address I am sure other trikers will be interested. Thanks for the info on the hitch.

Triker Harbor Freight Item #67623 is the ATV cargo carrier I'm using... But their other models would probably work equally as well... Because you'll probably want to change out the hitch tube to 1 1/4" sq tube x 1/8" wall which will narrow it a little & take a lot of weight off... I use a 20% off coupon, cost me $36.00...

I think a few years back when I was going to the marina every day working on my sail boat and running here and there......Wow.. I would have got a 150 and your carrier and saved a lot of time and money.
I am going to put something like that with quick connect leds for trips and shopping on my Silver Bullet, her name...Magnum 300. I saw the axle pictures, I would sure let you do mine...fine job

Mike Thanks for the words... I'm liking it a lot myself... Though I still have to road test it w/ some weight, I'm just waiting for my new shocks... These new shocks will be interesting, the shocks I'm trying are Gas Mono shocks... Yes, that's right, 2 Gas Mono shocks to try in place of the OEM shocks... All's I really know is they're for Pit Bike... Not sure how they will work out because they have a really nasty coil spring on them...
I also think a set of LED light on the back of the cargo carrier is a good idea...
