Well we finally got some nice weather here in western Pa. I don't know about the rest of you, but this seems like the longest, coldest winter I can remember. Anyway, after taking care of my family responsibilities, I decide to go for a maiden voyage with the scoot. I have done quite a bit to this since buying it to include new starter, battery, solenoid, brakes, tires, repair and paint body panels and change all the fluids. I wanted to keep it close to home just in case so I stayed within a 5 mile radius of the house to shake out any bugs.
Well it started and ran perfect but if there were two things I would say there was a slight hesitation at WOT and from a rolling start of about 5-10 mph and go to accelerate, the front end would shudder. It would not do it from a dead stop so I am not sure where to look.
Anyway, found some back twisty roads and overall pleased with the bike but sure was nice to hit the road after this winter. Also, both my kids were fighting to see who got to go for a ride.

mthomas, kids go with you? Very nice. I have some teenage grandkids (not quite driving age yet) who want to ride with me but I have never had a passenger and I am afraid to try it. The 250 bike is quite heavy for me at stops, etc. I am afraid if I had someone on the bike with me, my bike would just fall over when I stopped. Because I am older, female, and have some muscle atrophy due to pinched nerves all up and down my back, I have muscle weakness. And because of that, I am afraid to try passengers. Is there a safe way to find out if you can handle passengers, without actually putting a passenger on your bike?

I am 6'2" and 250 so it is easier for me. This bike it is much easier for the kids to ride than the 150 both for me, the kids and the bike. My daughter is 11 and son is 14 and I took my son to cross country practice and took my daughter home from it. I get on the bike first and they step on and swing their leg to the other side and away we go. We just reverse the process when done. The hardest part id when they get on and off, the weight transfer wants to pull the bike down. It is easy when riding and stopping because the weight is even, but getting on and off is the hard part.

Passengers should keep their left foot on the ground and swing their right leg over and then sort of slide to the other side and center their butt on the seat. Then put their feet on the pegs. Unless they're really short and light. Otherwise they could knock you down. I had my wife get on like that the one time we rode together and every time my ex-wife got on. The ex was a really BIG girl.
