Dual Sport 6,697 Units (2010: 5,386). Up 1,311 (24%)
Off Road 18,725 Units (2010: 19,812). Down 1,087 (-5.5%)
Street Bikes 70,879 Units (2010: 66,322). Up 4,557 (6.9%)
Scooter 6,246 Units (2010: 4,176). Up 2,070 (49.6%)
Totals 102,547 Units (2010: 95,696) Up 6,851 (Approx. 6.5%)
Look at those Scooter sales! Almost 6,300 units, up over 2,000 units from a year ago.

So this is why my Roketa MC-54B 250cc is on back order! No one i talk to can give a deffinate date to when the new ones are coming either!

I need to figure out which office on campus deals with infrastructure because our scoot parking space with raised bar to chain ourselves to has been overrun by the ugly chinese scoots (they don't even bother to chain them up, why are they parking themselves so close to my shiny metal bodywork! shooo shooo) and run down mopeds.It must be nice to have such works of art. I have to remember to give a Vespa the finger the next time I'm out on the Big Ruckus. |

Too bad Vespas attract this kind of rider. I like Vespas, but some of the owners not so much.

As a member of the Modern Vespa forum I can say that Jess ( the petty tyrant) and admin. does not allow members to put other riders down for what they ride, in fact the poster in question was new and hasn't posted since and you'll notice that nobody responded to his remark.

Thanks for the comment, flyangler. The first scoot I ever rode was a not-so-modern Vespa during the 1960's. I believe it was a 125 or 150cc 2T with the twist shift/clutch on the handlebar. It was my neighbor's and I was his main mechanic. Pure simplicity to work on and a lot of fun to ride. |
