Ok does anyone know an easy way of getting to the Tail lights on the MC-62-250/VOG 260 short of pulling out the Under seat compartment?

Todd, if you haven't figured this out already, there is an access panel you can remove from underneath to access the rear lights. I can explain and/or post a picture or two to show you.

Nope sit did not figure out there is a panel below to remove I finally pulled the box from inside to get to them. I have to back in again cause I got the wrong LED brake lights.

With rear plastic off the scooter, you can see the 4 attachment points. 2 screws at the bottom and the top 2 are the hard plastic into soft rubber o-ring type things, same as you have around the headlights. Need to remove the 2 screws and then wiggle the rest of it out. On mine one side just about fell out, the other took a fair amount of wiggling to get it to pop out. Attachments:

Plastic upside down showing view from outside. You should see this access panel right at the bottom of the tail light lens. Attachments:
