Dyno a gy6?

I was just wandering if anyone has ever had a gy6 powered scoot on the dyno? I also was wandering if anyone has posted what kind of gains they have gotten for a specific mod. such as a thread that only includes given mods and their results. or perhaps a thread with the first suggested mods to get some more performance out of the gy6. I have been unable to find what I am looking for using the search function. I apologize if it is in the forums and i am just having trouble finding it. Thanks Jake

Best bang for the buck, tune the CVT first and leave the engine alone...stepping up the gears in the rear end can increase top end...

ok thank you sprocket that is the type of info i'm looking for.. I also have a question about the redline on the gy6. I have found that mine seems to have no end, allowing me to rev way to far... what is the stock redline on the gy6 as i do not want to over rev...

mOst have the redline set in the CDI and stock it is usually 7800rpm. I have heard that the 16" wheel scooters have a higher redline at 8200rpm.
You may have an 'unlimited CDI' with no rev limitation...
I wouldn't push it much past 8200rpm without the chance of braking something. But the tachs on these scooters are also far from accurate, like the speedos...
Really, any mods you make without going with a bigger displacement are expensive and the return is minimal.
After the CVT, I would do the exhaust with a free flow...but these engines require some restriction for the CV carb to work efficiently, so opening it up too much gets people into trouble and performance actually goes down...this could be countered by changing to a flat slider carb...Koso, Mikuni etc..
