wow! imagine how much money is involved on that project..does the gov't finance that project? or private entrepreneurs? how's you compare it to wind turbine as far as amount of power generated is concern?/and cost of materials?

Comparing to Wind takes up a lot less space so you do not have have near as many Land owner agreements. This site is 18 Mega Watts. Most of the wind farms we design are 80 mega watts plus one wind turbine can generate 1.5-2.5 mega watts depending on turbine manufacture.
This sight for 18 mega watts there are 3,996 racks each mega watt has 222 racks. Each Rack holds 18 PV panels.
I do not know all the money wise but there is some fed funding but mostly has owners that get the money build.
