This really depends on the design of your headlight lens. These lights run very hot and can melt the lens which are incredibly cheap acrylic.
The price is very good, put the shipping sucks...

If you don't have a projector lens system you may have trouble with it. Besides heat issues from what I've read HID in conventional reflector lamps doesn't do much for seeing better despite the extra lumens... but creates a scattered pattern blinding to oncoming drivers. My scooter's single headlamp takes a BA20D style bulb. I have 2 halogens, one 35/35W another 50/50W. Manual states max for headlight as 50W so that part should be OK. BUT the heat from a halogen may be more than the plastic socket can take. Yes, that's correct, plastic socket. When I finally get this project together I'm going to give one a try. In the event things go bad (melt down) I've been looking at these: www.aliexpress.com/product-gs/309872101-35W-HID-HEADLIGHT-Projector-Lens-wholesalers.htmlWould end up costing almost $100.00 w/shipping but with as genuine projector lamp I could probably retro-fit it into the back of (reflector) plastic headlight housing with some carving and retain the aerodynamic, body fitting lens assembly but with the real McCoy working inside.
