I think my variator and or bushing is done with. I was getting abit of racket coming up from it the last couple of days. This afternoon I replaced the 15gr rollers with the 13gr sliders but was still getting noise from the assembly . The variator itself is a tad loose on the bushing that goes on the crankshaft aswell. The engine rpms were higher when I put the 13gr in aswell . That I didn't like !! Would replacing the variator help stop the noise ? Any help would be much appreciated. One more note: I readjusted my valves yesterday aswell. Bill C.

Have you torqued the nut to spec? 35-40 Nm
Lighter rollers higher rpm...

Well I do not think it is the BOSS(bushing) as you call it. It is more than likelty the Variator itself is worn and has some wobble to it. Or it could be the weights that all are not the same grams and some may be heavier than others. So I would weight each one and then if you find say two lighter or heavier than the others put those opposite each other to balance the Variator. In other words for example if you have two weights that are 12.8 grams and the rest 13grams put the two 12.8 opposite each other and not next to each other. Alleyoop
