OK so i have promised twice now to post some more pictures of my new scoot. So here it goes first with the top up (yes it's a convertible) So my kids have this camera radar the moment it comes out they have to get in on the action. But, they have as much fun just sitting on it as I have riding it. :-) and then the clips that hold the top to the windshield and the whole thing hinges back into the trunk, which I will show with help from my trusty assistant and with the top down for those rare nice days in western OR Its hard to see in these pictures but the windshield is at a pretty steep angle so it doesn't push as much air as I thought it would at first. When I get a stiff crosswind it can get a little squirrely. It really does keep me dry in the rain once I get moving. we have been having a really wet spring so I have had ample chance to test it. At a standstill the water from the top sometimes runs down the seem between the top and the windshield and drips right on my hands. That's not really a problem though because it's RED so it doesn't stand still for very long.

Wonderful bike. We need more info though. What is the brand name? WHat is the engine size? Where did you get it? I think this concept is going to get quite popular. But, pity it is red. We all know that the blue would be faster. (With pink being fastest of them all)

So this one was sold under the Baron brand name and has the name "speedster" on the side but was built by JMstar who I think sells most of there stuff under the Jonway name now. They still sell this one it is called the BAS Pagoda and comes in 150 and 250. www.jonway-motor.com/1-yy150t-2a-scooter.html#This one is just a 150 and with all the weight from the extra plastic it tops out on the flat at around 52 Mph. I have already posted to the tech forum and gotten some great input on tunning it a bit to get a few more MPH out of it without burning the engine up. I completely lucked out I wasn't even looking for something this cool I was looking for anything under $1000 (the budget the boss gave me). A friend said he had one he wasn't using anymore and if I wanted it he would be willing to sell. So I went over to take a look and this is what I found gathering dust in his garage. needles to say I bought it on the spot. He had purchased it from the original owner who had purchased it from an importer. It is a 2006 and I bought it with about 3600 miles. I have had it for about 2.5 weeks and it has around 4000 on it already ;D
