Hey did you guys see this? PJ posted this on his board a couple of weeks ago. I didn't want to disturb his post so I got a C&P on the video. Anybody want to make a guess on the $ ?

This particular setup doesnt look like it would be too effective. I know turbos can work on scooters but I am not sure about this one. When the scooter came down to an idle it looked as if the turbo came to a stop. So either the turbo was not getting enough lubrication and the bearings were going out OR the scooter just can't put out enough exhaust to spin it fast enough. I doubt even the BOV (blow off valve) gets enough pressure to open up.

Man...good eye! Yes the turbine did come to a stop for just an instant. I didn't see it until I read your post and watch it more carefully. I read up a little bit about turbos afterwards and apparently just that momentary stall can cause serious damage. I think this scooter owner has more bucks than bang.

I've used turbos in the past on other applications....and IMO that thing is a ticking time bomb! i would not want to be on a WOT trip when it explodes the motor.

wouldn't a higher CR piston be better? I run 11.5:1 on my 155cc Honda Trail 50 and it runs on 91 octane.
