Alleyoop,
I am determined to find a way to trip those red lights. I run into a certain one every day and I am tired of waiting for another car to pull up behind me, and tired of running a red light, which was necessary a few times. Tomorrow the new magnets arrive and if it's not raining here tomorrow night I will give them a try.
My mistakes haven't cost me an extra $100 yet, but I am sure I'll buy the wrong product and be stuck with it. 95 MPH is just cruising for your Suzuki.

:) Well after weeks of testing several magnets I can say that this one works. www.magnet4less.com/product_info.php?cPath=1_123&products_id=835It has tripped sensors other magnets have not. The first magnet I had was called the Green Light Trigger HP and it didn't work on 5 loop sensors I tried it on. I believe it had a 6lb pull to it and that is simply not enough for a 250 54B scooter. Maybe if it was lower to the ground it might work on some traffic lights. I returned the Green Light Trigger back to Helmet Head and I'm still waiting for my refund. The second set of magnets were 3 small magnets with an 8lb pull each. I stacked them up together and it would trip a few lights but not the ones I run into on my way to work. The 3rd try was a charm. The magnet I recommend has a 58lb pull to it and that extra pull means a lot. Testing it has been an adventure to the point as where I needed to go out at night to make sure I was the only vehicle waiting to make a left hand turn or going straight. At each of the 6 lights I tested the magnet tripped the sensor at 5 lights. I called the highway dept and told them that they need to check that light and adjust the sensitivity so a scooter with a magnet can trip the light. The magnet is weather proof and after exchanging emails with the company they recommended I install the magnet at least a foot away from the engine as it could change the timing. I used 3M double sided body molding tape and mounted it just past the front wheel on the plastic. Don't let the $4.95 price fool you. They charged me an additional $9.00 for shipping and $5.00 because it was a single item purchase. Use caution while installing as it will find any piece of steel and jump to it.

Thanks Speedracer!!! How did you setup/install the magnets for optimal performance? (Pics?) I have a left turn that's made me late for work more than once! I would rather buy something that works instead of paying a ticket. (Green Light Trigger = waste of money IMHO)

I'm not sure if I'll be able to take pictures, as it may screw up my memory card on the camera. I have a Roketa 250 54B model and under the main frame is a plastic cover. I mounted the magnet there about 3" from the front of the panel. First cleaning off the area with alcohol, then using the 3M tape. I cut (2) 1/2"x 2" of the tape and applied them to the magnet. Removed the red side of the tape and pressed the magnet tight against the bottom of plastic. Since the magnet has a north and south pole it doesn't matter which side is down. Mine is mounted parallel, but I'm sure it can be mounted perpendicular as well.

Speedracer, I called them up and told them that it should be 19.00 bucks and the guy checked and said that the shipping was like 19.00 bucks I told him I did not click on that, that I had clicked on the $9.01 shipping. He canceled that order and I re-ordered making sure that the priority box was NOT on and sure enough it was only $19.00 bucks. WHEW!! man you really have to watch what the HEY(HEHE). So I just got the tracking number and I will put it on and give it a shot right by my house where sometimes I just wait TWO lights and make A LEFT TURN on RED.
Will update with hopefully good news like Speedracer. Alleyoop Alleyoop

Glad I was able to read your post and tell you what I paid before they had shipped it out with the higher shipping cost. I have this intersection where 99% of the cars turn left and I want to go straight. Well before the magnet I just waited for another car to come behind me or made a right and then turned around. Now the left signal goes green then I get the green light so I can go straight. That is one long light to begin with and having to wait until a car comes behind me was not fun especially in the hot summer.

Ok, Bad News to report, I tried two places where the Turn Signal Light will not come on for me if I am the only one there making a left turn. The magnet did not work, either I am not in the right place when I stop or those lights have a different type of sensor, weight of vehicle or something else. I put the Magnet in a Plastic Case that you get at the hardware store with screws in them and then used Zip Ties to attach it under my belly pan. Got to say the magnet is strong I tied it up with zip ties and when going to cut the extra tie off it pulled my cutter up to the magnet. I will take a pic of how and were I mounted it. Alleyoop

Alley, you are right that is one strong magnet. Check with your town and find out if they use a loop sensor at that light. If they do they can adjust it so your magnet will trip it. I reported 1 light where my magnet won't work, but the other light which gave me problems are no longer a problem.

Hi Troops, Ok here is how and where I mounted the magnet. Used a plastic container that screws come in to hold the magnet and keep it clean and used zip ties to mount it to the bottom cover. Alleyoop
