I Dont! What I do is copy and paste them to an email to myself, especially ones like repairs. I then save them in a folder marked scooter mods/repair. It saves a lot of time: Exmple, Sprocket wrote a great valve timing procedure the old way. I saved it this way. When adjusting valves we forget some details, instead of searching you go to your e-mails and poof there it is. P.S. Thanks Sprocket ;D

If you tell me what your looking for I might be able to recall where it is. Also, if you look at the bottom of any thread there's a search button, that's a Proboard's search and it will dig it up for you sometimes. There's also a search button at the top of the site. You might be able to find what you're looking for in the memorable posts board under Archives. Rich

So far I have saved: old fashoned way to adjust valves ( chain streach issue) and another one for the lights. I only save the ones that really hit home.

Any chance the Google Search pane will reappear at the bottom of the screen? I always used that to great success when searching the site.

The Google function is enabled on the admin panel but for some reason is not showing up on the main forum page. I will look into it, thanks for pointing that out. Rich

Thanks trailheadmike, they have indeed disabled the Google search function. I need to check my Proboards admin messages more often . Usually when they do something like that they soon come out with a "new and improved" version; we'll have to see on that. In the meantime, Proboards has a halfway decent tutorial on using their search function. Click on this button right here in this post: , or the same button at the top of the site, and then click on "member guide". Then you'll see "search options" in the left menu and click on that. The main thing to do with the function (you can click on this button in this post too!) is to limit your search to the boards you want to search, and expand the number of days and messages that will be searched; you'll see what I mean in the flash presentation. The default is 7 days and 10 messages, that won't get you anywhere. If you have trouble with this let me know. I'll check my Proboards messages regularly and if something comes up I'll post it. Rich

umm i noticed this little button called bookmark at the bottom of these threads and when i want one i just click the bookmark button and now it is bookmarked to my account here, so how hard can it be to find again? sorry but a newbie observation about this site , this site uses bookmark versus subscribe to post. once you find or want a good thread just click it- is this a new feature of this site?

Good point Beerstop, bookmarks have been around for as long as I can remember with Proboards. They are a handy little tool and y'all should at least give them a test drive. After you click the bookmark icon you go to your profile to view and manage them. Some folks seem to like them and others not so much. Rich
