My bf just got a used scooter from a friend of ours, it seemed the battery was dead, so he jumped the scooter with the car on. It turned on for a bit i guess and then slowly died. later he tried it again but messed up on putting the cords on, like i duno how they were on the right colors but he got a spark. i just read its bad to have the car on while chargeing i'm just wondering if something got fried? he says nothing looks fried, the fuse is ok and wires and such but we can't get it to turn on or anything. how can i tell if something is fried?

Can you tell us what kind of a scooter it is including the engine size? I'd check the fuses again sometimes the break in the filament is hard to see. If the jumpers were put on backwards you definately blew a fuse. Yep, it's a big no no to have the car's engine running while jumping off. There could be some serious damage to the electrical system. We could guide you through some diagnostics but first you have to determine if you want to attempt that or feel you have the skills to try. Rich

You won't see or smell anything.. it is the electronic inside that are probably finished...
