hello , sorry to make my first post here a question


i just bought a 2008 schwinn Hope 50cc , it came from a police auction, someone tried to hot wire the thing an in doing so cut a bunch of wires an tried to install a switch in the lock hole !

ive spent the last couple days trying to figure out the wiring an repair it , it has 400miles on it an looks good ! but i cant for the life of me find a repair/service manual that shows all the connections .

after searching the internet like a crazy person i found this site which seems to have alot of info on the motor , or at least it looks to me like a chinese engine .

does anyone know where i can buy a wiring harness ? i cant find a schwinn dealer an im not sure if i can use parts from other makes /models ?

is a schwinn hope 50 a chinese engine ?

Follow down to near the bottom, about 2/3 or 3/4 of the way, and a Schwinn manual is mentioned. Not cheap. Also parts manuals. Not cheap. Maybe some lower cost help can be found here.

thankyou ,, ive learned some since my first post allready its a QMB 139 engine .

i really wanna get it running , at this point i just want to see some sparks , all the rest i can wire but im confused with the cdi ,stator wiring !

In our library are qmb139 manuals and a detailed explaination of how the cdi ign works. the ignition sw main function is to shut down the engine after it is running. John
