Hi to all. I'm new on here and I just ordered a JCL 250cc scooter from Rockford Scooter Exchange on Ebay. They also go by Scooter Exchange Chicago.
Am I going to regret this choice?

Seems a little late for that question doesn't it?
This is a forum that carters primarily to Chinese scooters, so of course we're all going to cheer you on! You might get a different opinion somewhere else though. But regardless, welcome to scooterdoc!
These scooters all have their little quirks, but if you're the type of guy (or gal) that's comfortable with doing your own wrenching, then you'll be completely fine. We can get you through just about anything you might come across. Be sure to read all the sticky threads in the library about doing a proper PDI and whatnot. Very important!

Welcome to Scooter Doc, pudntane. That is a loaded question. If you are looking at owning this scooter as a hobby and a pastime while you tinker and do your own maintenance, then I would say you will have some fun. If you are looking at it as a primary source of transportation, then things can be a little tense. The first thing which may or may not sour the relationship is the condition of the scoot when you receive it. Sometimes there are missing parts and more often damaged parts. Most dealers will co-operate in satisfying the customer when the scoot is first delivered. Things may get more difficult as time goes on. Hopefully everything will be in order when you receive the scoot and all you will have to do is the PDI which is important to ensure the miles and smiles. Here is a link for a good PDI for watercooled engines: scooterdoc.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=info&action=display&thread=1658
