856-23-30 is the right belt by Gates and easy to find. Most of the vendors here carry it and take a look for it on ebay.

Most of us with the mc-54-250b linhia use the Gates 856-23-30.

That is quite a difference in belt sizes, 870 compared to 856 that is quite a bit longer. I would think with such a long belt it would be slapping a lot at low rpms in the CVT. The width is not bad only one ml less 22 verses 23 but I would be concerned with the Length. my .02 Alleyoop

The higher the number, the faster the top end. The lower the number, the faster off the line. Since this is a variable transmission, the length of the belt is adjusted automatically.

The belt being longer does not mean higher top end As a matter of fact you can loose top end with a TOO LONG OF A BELT. To get the most top end the BELT has to climb as high as possible in the VARIATOR BUT it also has to PULL the BELT DOWN as Far as possible in the CLUTCH PULLEY. TOO Long of a belt will Climb up the Variator but because it is TOO LONG it will not pull the Clutch Pulleys apart enough to Drop the belt down as low as it can go in the Clutch Pulley. That is how it works folks. Alleyoop
