Does any one on here have one of these? Is it a good scooter? Any problem with it? Does it have 13" tires like there wed sit sees? I have called them, and they say it does, but I don`t think it does. SuperiorPowerSports has them for $1699.90 I lost my left arm and need the foot brake for safety. www.superiorpowersports.com/250cc_gas_scooter_p/sn250sc-ts.htm POWER TRAIN Engine Liquid-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke Displacement 250cc Horsepower 16.6HP@8500RPM Torque 19.5 nm/6500 rpm Starter Electric/Kick Start Ignition C.D.I Transmission Dry Automatic Clutch-Less Centrifugal Belt Drive CVT DIMENSIONS Overall Length 84.65in Overall Width 28.54in Overall Height 47.24in Seat height 29.92in Ground Clearance 7.87in Wheelbase 59.44in Net Weight 331lbs BRAKES & TIRES Brakes Front Hydraulic ABS Disc Brake Brakes Rear Hydraulic Disc Brake Tires Front 130/60-13 Tires Rear 130/60-13 OTHER Battery Type 12V/7Ah

Welcome to Scooter Doc, nobby. I feel you're right on the size of the rear tire. The original Helix had a 10" wheel and from looking at the pictures of the clone, it looks like it also has a 10" or 12" rear wheel. This means that the rear brakes are drum brakes.
The smaller rear wheel allowed for lots of storage in back of and under the seat. There really doesn't seem to be any speed limitation with the smaller wheel with 75 mph being attainable. The main disadvantage of the smaller wheel would be shorter tire life, but then I believe the 10' tires cost less.
This is probably one of the most successful of the Chinese clones in that it copies the original not only in looks but also in performance. This particular model doesn't seem to have any weak points in my experience with 3 different scoot forums. CfMoto still makes this model (Fashion) and it is one of their better scoots. The rear wheel on the Fashion is a 12", but it still has a cable operated rear drum brake.

OK Cookees, so what's the deal? I thought CF owned all the patents on these......or is it just the engine? So do other factories buy CF's engines and put them in their own builds, or do they clone them from the ground up? I'm confused. Rich

There are no patents on the Helix anymore. So it's open season. And the Chinese will clone anything. So there are now clones of the clones. The Fashion is the closest thing to the Helix. Kinda like the bastard red-headed step child... Or 1st cousin.
CFMOTO still rules the roost when it comes to water-cooled engines.

Wow, I had no idea. So if you want an actual Helix clone I'm assuming you'd have to get it from a CF Moto dealer. Rich

Tripped over this thread today while looking for something else. For anyone in the future that goes searching for one of these here:
I unwillingly got talked into buying one of these Sunny brand Helix clones and after driving it a bit can say that it is what it is. It's not great but it works. You have to do the PDI shortening & rerouting vac and fuel lines and electrical.
It started right up from new (after PDI) and does what its supposed to. It starts instantly everytime, cold, warm, hot. Idles perfect. No fussing to make it run right. The suspension is subpar. Pretty sure there is no oil in those shocks. Like riding a bouncy house - dangerous around curves in the road at 50+mph. And I haven't found a cheap swap for all 4 shocks yet.
So if you don't plan to drive it far and don't expect much out of it, it could be a bargain. The trunk space is unique - large bottom and the typical large topper. Engine is easy to access - one bolt to remove the seat and the entire engine bay is exposed, unlike a 250B where you work from a hole in the bucket or remove all the side plastic. Irony is that I havent had to work on the Sunny/Helix, but I've been into the 250B more times than I ever wanted to be.
I would not buy another one - if I was to replace it, I would go the CF Moto route. My 2 cents
