seeing as how i am going to prob have to wait a week for a new carb to come in the mail is there any point in trying to keep drilling and see whats behind it? PERHAPS a screw although unlikely? LOL or is that just pointless at this point? LOL. So basicly these scooter carbs they come with, if w out an a/f screw are pretty much useless? I could always do ebay but do u guys recommend any websites for scooter parts? Thanks

It says it has a 27mm and 40mm opening, the 27mm is for the intake side and the 40 is for the air filter side. That is to big. Alleyoop

Sounds like a good deal. The carb looks right. Jap standard most likely means it's a copy of a Japanese carb. Here's the carb that's on my 50cc.

First check you air filter it may be all clogged up and flooding it causeing it to bog. You can check if it is flooding by taking the plug out when it happens if its all wet then to much fuel. If it is dry then not enough and having the Fuel Ratio screw will fix it so you can richen it. I would think it is flooding though sense your in Florida and with all that heat the scoots do not need a lot of fuel they NEED LESS FUEL. So my thinking is your Air Filter is Clogged probably with maybe OIL and blocking the air. Alleyoop

i will check, that is just the long spongy thing on the side right? wow that may be the dumbest question i have ever asked here. Lol. long day. i checked last time on my old scoot after like 1,000 miles and it seemed very clean but i washed it with soap and water, rinsed well and let it dry.
