The carb made in Japan would cost a lot more and it would probably work very nicely. The clone (chinese) carb is what you are looking at and your scoot should be very happy with it if you need to change it.

Cruiser, The only reason I question it is because if you scroll down it says it is a 27mm and 40mm. Alleyoop

I sent an email to the seller asking for the correct size of the carb pictured. The picture looks like an 18mm for a 50cc but the description says otherwise? Alleyoop

I just opened the air filter housing and the filter seemed clean but there is def some oil? gas? I guess its oil. Feels like oil smells like gas, i dunno. LOL. to the right side of the housing. I'm scrubbing out the air filter and about to clean out the housing box now. How does oil or gas get in there? is there a leak? How often should I check this since this has started happening? cleaning this out, trying to dry the filter out then going to adjust the carb w the 2 screws and see what happpens

Ok, its running pretty well, went for a short 5 block ride to the store and then 5 blocks back so far so good. Gave me a tinyyyy bit of hesitation starting so I think I'm going to pop a new spark in. The one it came w is prob crap and I just got a 4 pack and have the scooter kinda open ( seat not on all the way ) so may as well

Did you ever get that loose connector attached to the enricher hooked up?
There should be a plug that fits it in the wires over on the right side of the frame.

In your first saga you showed a white plug with a green wire that wasn't connected.
It looked like the wire for the enricher.

Great!! that it is running much better with the Air Filter Cleaned out. Anyway the oil is most likely coming from the Valve Cover Vent Hose and that hose is probably connected to the Air Filter Box. You can stop getting oil in there if you want by taking the hose off coming from the AIR FILTER and get a Fuel Filter and stick it on the end of it and Tie It up High on the Frame. Then to test it out Leave the Hole that the Hose came off on the Air Filter and see if that helps it run EVEN better. Leaving the hole open will suck in a little more air. IF it runs worse then cover the hole up.
Having the Valve Cover Vent tied up high if oil squirts out it will drain back down into the Valve Cover but this way your Filter will NOT GET covered in oil and cause it to run RICH. Make sure the Hose is NOT KINKED it needs to Vent. Alleyoop

Good info Alleyoop, thanks! I think I'm good on the new carb for now since I found the A/F screw under that thick as hell cap/plug. Thank you so much for looking into that though!

WOW!! you mean there was a SCREW under that PLUG? That is good to know when others run into the same problem. How deep or big was the PLUG how much of drilling If you have the left over PLUG put up a picture so we can then tell others how much to drill. Alleyoop
