I have 3 spare sparks as I just bought a 4 pack of them.
So I leave the spark that is on the scoot now in there, take the boot cap off it and and press a spare spark plug into the boot cap ( so it like clicks in ) and ground it to the engine. Does that mean hold the metal end of it ( the top near the gap ) to the engine ( the metal part ) to keep myself from getting shocked? I'm not to familiar with how grounding works or where the engine is. Is it the thing under the carb that air fuel out thing is clamped down to? LOL. Wow I feel dumb. I don't know how to hold it to the engine, hold the break and turn it on at the same time. Can I like tape it into position? on the engine and try to start it? Are you saying start it when u say crank it or are you saying just turn the throttle? Is this just to test the boot cap and what it is connected to? since it seems like I'm not testing the spark plug that is already in there but a spare / new one. Thanks for being so patient with my dumb arse. Talk to me like I am a 5 yr old. I don't be offended. I feel like one right now Be right back, i havent eaten since yesterday, I need to run 5 blocks to the store then back

HAHAHA!! With the coil OFF the Spark Plug off the engine the motor WILL NOT START.
So click in a Spare Plug into the Boot Cap and then HOLD IT BY THE THICK RUBBER PART and HOLD THE METAL PART of the Plug on the VALVE COVER that is easy to reach. Then with the other Hand press the start button and watch the Plug and see if it is Sparking.
If it IS, then Here is a picture of mine Carb Area. See the MANIFOLD and on the Mainfold is the VACUMM HOSE take it off and squirt some gas Directly into the Connector. Gas will go down directly into the Engine. Put the Hose back on and See if it Starts. Alleyoop l

Pull the coil wire cap off the spark plug that is mounted in the engine. Take a spare spark plug and push it into the coil wire cap. lay the spare spark plug on a metal part of the engine so that the metal end of the spare plug is touching metal on the engine. A good place is in front of the black intake manifold that the carb mounts to. just let it lay there touching metal to metal. then while watching the spare plug try to start it like you normally do. (it won't start but that is OK) watch the spare plug gap area while the engine is cranking and look for a spark at the gap. If you see spark, take the cap off the spare plug and put it back on the plug mounted in the engine.
Now pull the vacuum line off the intake manifold and squirt some gas into the nipple. Replace the vacuum line and crank the engine to see if it fires.

Alley - oooo oo great video, thanks! I guess I thought I had to hold the brake too like I was told I had to when I normally start my scooter. Also I was confused about the extra spark plug. I wasn't sure if I was testing the boot or the spark since you said use an extra. I was thinking, well if the extra works how do I know its not the spark plug still in there not working. Now I see you were just trying to save me the step of taking it out. LOL. And great picture too. I got it. How much gas do I put in? I can suck some gas out of the tank as its almost full w/ a 10cc ( ml ) water syringe and squirt it in there.
LMAO Gatekeeper thanks. I guess u didn't see Alleyoop just said all that and u went and typed the whole idea to me again. Awee. Thanks. If you knew he wrote that u could have just said " what he said! " and saved some time w all that typing.
K, so im about to check if it has spark, if it has compression ( as per the video) and if it wants gas as per the squirt

Okay. I pulled the spark out to test it just so I knew THAT spark was working. I saw a spark. Faint, but there. I then realized that I needed 3 hands to test the compression ( feel for any air coming out of the hole the spark plug was in ) I remembered my trusty elastic hair tie that I kept on the handle bars for emergencies such as this and put that around the break so I would be able to start my scooter ( mine won't start w/ out the left break squeezed) and I felt a little bit of air coming out of the hole so it has some compression. I removed the intake vacuum hose from the intake as you instructed ( there was a little wetness on the end of the hose, but held upside down, no fluid came out) I then squirted about half a teaspoon of gas where you said and it wouldn't turn over ( tried to start it twice) I squired another half a teaspoon thinking maybe I didn't squirt enough and on the 2nd time trying to start it this time it turned over and idled normally for about 2 min w/ out me having to give it any gas. I then turned it off myself. Waiting for instruction at your earliest convenience General alleyoop and / or Admiral gatekeeper and/or anyone else that wants to throw their 2 cents in

GREAT!! So it appears the problem is NO GAS. But I do not like the Vacumm Hose having Gas in it. What that MAY MEAN is that gas is flowing THROUGH the Vacumm Hose FROM the PETCOCK which would cause FLOODING.
So Take the Vacumm Hose coming from the petcock and take the Fuel Hose Off the Carb and put it in a Container to catch any fuel. THEN YES THEN SUCK ON THE VACUMM hose and fuel should only come out of the FUEL LINE INTO the Container. But Be Carefull if you are going to suck on the Vacumm Hose in case fuel comes out of the Vacumm hose. BEST TO use something like a baster or something to create suction.
So maybe the Carb that your getting will fix the problem. Alleyoop

I'm not sure that the vacuum hose has gas in it. It was just wet on the edge and that could have been from maybe rain getting in there. No fluid came out of it when i held it upside down. Should I do the test u suggested above anyway? I believe I saw the petcock when I was in there If you suggest I do anyway..
When you say take the fuel hose coming off the carb, do u mean the hose labeled vacuum hose to fuel pump in this pic:
and just hang it upside down into a container?
and the vacuum hose coming from petcock, is that the one in the pic labeled "vacuum hose to decelerator " in the pic?
The little squirter thing I used to squirt gas may be able to create enough suction. It is basicly a little plastic water syringe thingee that I got from the dentist to gently squirt water in the hole after I had a tooth pulled to clean anything that may get stuck in there. LOL. It has come in handy for different uses though
So it could still be a carb problem huh? I'd rather have an extra carb on hand than have to replace it. LOL. I'm scared of being able to accomplish that w/ that ignition cable thingee. LOL.
Ohhh also, is the cable going from the spark plug the COIL? If so ya I can get that sleeve off LOL. I thought it was something else that looked like a coil in my scooter that I said was taped up tight before.

Well if it was just wet on the tip and you think it is water then you do not have to test it if you do not want to.
But the Vacumm hose you want to disconnect from the "T" connector is the one Labled VACUMM HOSE FUEL PUMP on yours it is going to the RIGHT and up to the Petcock and then to the Tank. Tha is the one you would Suck on.
The FUEL LINE is actually connected to the Carb on the RIGHT SIDE you see the hose NEXT to the VACUMM HOSE FUEL PUMP see where it is going it is going to the CARB that is the FUEL LINE coming from my FUEL PUMP which on mine the TANK is in front under the Handlebars.
YOUR FUEL LINE will be going to the RIGHT and up to the PETCOCK you will also see a Fuel Filter in the LIne. Alleyoop
