Here is how you can do it to test it out, but you will need another pair of hands to hold the BENDIX in place like this Mom did for her son which I helped out getting their scoot going on ScootDawgs. Alleyoop

If you do need a new Bendix google for the cheapest the prices are all over the place. Here is one for $9.95 but do not know how much the shipping is until you fill out the address(TRICKY HEHE). scooter-atvparts.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=11&category_id=1&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=2I was going to order weights and it was from MBE and I went through the process, the weights were $13.95 when I filled out everything the shipping was $21.95(HOLY COW). I emailed them and told them that was a little much, but he explained they are in CANADA and the shipping they get tacked on IMPORT duties, So I told him thank you and will not be ordering from CANADA(HEHE). When you take the CVT cover off Check the LITTLE GEAR from the STARTER it may be HOSED. IF all the gears look good, then I would take the Bendix off and Clean it with WD40 it could be just stuck with belt debri. You can twist the gear and see if it comes out and springs back. Alleyoop

Al shes got no miles on the scooter , it most likley needs to be overhauled . ( take it apart clean it very very well with brake cleaner , wipe it with white paper towels till the paper towels come clean , then soak it in penatrating oil for an hour or until well penatrated at, room temp wipe off excess dress with light grease assemble , grease all moving parts work it back and forth wipe off excess surve at room temp ) when I say work it move the bendix be sure it moves smoothly no binding or tight spots . Nice Jeff. Thanks for the input guys. I saw bendix for about $15 w ship. I'd use the guy I got the carb and petcock from but he doesnt have any He ships pretty quick. I'm just waiting for the sun to start to set just a little. Its blazing hot out. I can either be in the sun sweating my butt off from working on the scooter or I can sweat from walking because I don't have the scooter. Either way its a hot/hot situation. Uggg, I guess I'll do this tomorrow. The neighbors are having a huge Labor Day party complete with crappy loud music about 10' from my scooter. Sigh. Tomorrow

I plan on working on the scooter tomorrow afternoon but decided to try to start it just now for the hell of it. It sounds worse ( less power ) and instead of a snake hissing sound: (yesterday) it sounds like a cat purring but not a happy pur (today) Don't know if this means its not getting power and something else is wrong or what. This is the first time I've tried to start it since I made the video yesterday of the way it sounds (20 hrs later) Maybe the battery is just that much more run down. Not driving it = not charging it. Im not going to try to start it again until I have the cover off and I have to. Once I can get this fixed and the kick start working, I can kick start it, then drive it to charge it then replace the petcock. Geeeeze! LOL

The second Video is your battery is low, it needs to be charged. Don't know which apartment you live in, but if you live faceing the scoot, maybe you can get a long extension and a Trickle Charger and run the extension out a window or something. Or if that is not possible then maybe just get Like a JR Battery Tender and take the battery out into your apartment and give it a good charge there. It is only Two Screws to take the battery out. Thanks. I replaced the battery before so I know how to do that one I should have just bought a charger with my last scooter instead of buying that new batter then selling it a month later Ya I think I'm going to have to invest in a charger and take the battery out. I can get this one a 6 block walk from home. Seems good but says charges lead acid batteries. I have no idea what kind mine is all I know is its 12v 7ah and I had to put battery acid in it myself. I know I can get one about half the price for my scoot but this will charge cars too and if I ever get a car in the future of come across a friends that needs a charge this would be a better investment. shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_SpeedCharge-1-5-Amp-Maintainer-Schumacher_17280006-P_N3014_A|GRP2005_____
