Ok Got my new Scoot Now working on doing a PDI. One major problem.
FUEL Line. Where can I get good 3/16" fuel line and Filters. Seems that the autoparts places around me only carry 1/4" fuel line and filters.
I am already doing a Major change when it comes to the Headlights. Getting away from the NON American bulb and changing out the bulb sockets to put in Standard 9003/H4 bulb.
Which remindes me is there anyplace that has a Jonway YY250T Wiring diagram?
Thanks, Todd

Well I am on the fuel Lines. This pic shows the Fuel Line it is just above the Water line. cut a piece off and checked with Caliper came out to about 3/16" This pic shows the fuel line after it comes out of the tank going over to the fuel pump with the filter. and it still looks 3/16" there.

Welcome to SCOOTER DOC fellow YY250T owner. No one has been able to find an official factory wiring diagram for this scoot. I have this diagram which is based on my scoot:

I wish they were 1/4" then it would be easy to take care of. So I am right back to the original question. Where do I get good 3/16" Fuel Line? I used 1/4" Goodyear fuel line from the tank all the way to the carb. Here is a picture of the fuel filter I used. Accepts 1/4" to 5/16" fuel line.

Most auto stores carry 3/16" fuel line and larger in bulk. Generally, scooters start out at 1/4' at the tank and end up at 3/16" at the carb inlet. In between there will of course be a filter and a fuel pump on 250s and some 150s. The problem occurs in making the transition from one size to the next and keeping a good seal. You can work 3/16" over a 1/4" fitting with a little lubricant and/or warming the hose.

Thanks guys on the encouragement I am sure glad I did do the PDI even though getting the 3/16" line is a pain in the BUTT. Couple of things I have noticed one Metal Shavings in the Oil Man glad I dumped that CRUD. Number 2 the upper radiator line at the bend had the spring around to keep the line from kinking was smashed in and the LINE was KINKED almost shut. Bike would have over heated for sure running it like that. Before I cut out the bent spring. After The other thing I noticed that I did not like was that same line sits rubbing against the motor mounts. I figured if I left it go it would rub a hole in my radiator hose. So I came up with a solution for that by taking a piece of hose slitting it down the middle then cable tying it around the hose where the mount was rubbing. from the top I will post some more pictures when I get my Headlight mod done. Hope to get that done tomorrow. Replacing out the sockets that came with it and the crappy bulbs that you can only order online with 3 wire headlight socket and 9003/H4 bulbs. Not only will it make it easier for getting bulbs but will give me more light for the early morning commutes.

Trying to remember back to when I did my PDI. I know there was a single key-switched wire (black) near the front of the gas tank. I don't really remember the plug in your picture. I think that it is a plug for some accessory like maybe a radio which comes with some of these scoots. I think you will find that the green is a ground wire and the red is switchable 12 volts.

Yeah I was thinking something like that on the radio/mp3 side since they Sell the version with MP3. I know I did not take it off of anything and no plug to mate it to. I numbered all of the plugs that I took apart.

Ok Here is my Headlight MOD. will start with the Stock bulb socket compared to the 9003/H4 Bulb base. They are perfect match. Cut Wires and splice in new 3 prong socket. Soldered and heatshrinked 9003 installed in scooter. Let me just say the way the bulbs mount on these scooters SUCKS. I was running really late last night or I would have take a picture of the mod I did to that stupid metal clip that holds one side of the bulb spring holder. I drilled 2 small holes in it to take the place of the little slots made it tons easier to install the bulb. I still have to put the windshield on but I need to decide how to mount my GPS bracket before I put that on. I did get it fired up and took it for a spin around town. Wow compared to my 125 this is so freaking nice. Tons of power. Cant wait till It is all broke in so I can open it up a bit.

Have not had a chance to drive in the dark. I still have not got my papers to register yet. Just a quick spin around the block. I have a couple of quick things left to to. Get the trunk mounted get my GPS mount on then put the windshield on.
As far as the mod goes the the Stock bulbs are 35 WATT These are 55/60WATT They are brighter and will be hotter than the stock. They will draw more current than the Stock that is why I am gong to be doing the LED Rear light conversions to compensate for the extra draw.
If I had the extra cash I would do the HID conversion but for now this going to have to do.
As far as cost goes I went with the Sylvania Xtream light they are $19.95 at Walmart. They are alot whiter than the standard $8 bulb. The 3 prong sockets were $4.99 Each at O'Reilly Auto. All in all a Cheap Mod for MORE light.

Ok got a few more things done tonight. When I received my Crate I had noticed that the top part of the Crate had been hit pretty hard that the angle iron holding the scooter had been bent. Well I found that it seems to have misaligned my handle bars a bit not much but enough that the plastic around the left handle bar does not come together all the way. Not that big of a deal to me does not really affect anything. Ok one more thing that WILL be replaces as soon as I get some spare cash. THE FREAKING Cheap arse Mirrors. Man do they suck. Ok enough ranting. I got my GPS mount done tonight. I really LOVE the Ram MOunts they are very versital. I had purchaced my ram mount for my Garmin nuvi last year it was the handle bar model for bike. Then this year when I purchased my Delorme PN-30 hand held I bought the Ram Mount window suction cup mount for it. After I received it found out how sturdy it was I noticed that I could purchase the Diamond mounts for it by them self I figured heck I would just mound one on each my scooter and my Dads scooter. (This was before I decided to purchase this scoot) Anyway I was looking at my nuvi mount to find that it had the mounting set up for the diamond mount on the back of it. So long story short it then made my mount usable for either one of my GPS units. I like to use my NUVI for road routing when I can but it is NOT water proof so if i get stuck in the rain I am pretty much out of luck with my NUVI. But Now my Delorme does Road routing also but it is Water proof so now I can pack up the Nuvi when it starts to rain and use my hand held. So here is what I have now. NUVI MOUNT Delorm PN-30 Mount Now these are the Diamond mount brackets And now Old Scooter and New scooter Ok so why would I carry both GPS at the same time. It is because I do GEOCACHING. If you do not know what geocaching is, well it is a HI TECH game of treasure hunting with use of GPSr. People hide items(geocaches) useing coordianates then people(ME) enter them coords into my GPS and go find what they hide. Sign the log then go to the geocahing.com web site and log my finds online. My Dad and I have found that the best way to geocache is by scooters. Last year we took a day and went up to Door County, Wisconsin and drove up the peninsula up and back on the scooter. It was awesome. Only down fall was we had to haul the scoots up on trailer. He only had a 50cc and I had a 125cc so we could only go 35 top end and man if we hit a big hill it was painfully slow 15 mph tops. Well now this year we both have 250cc scoots so we can just go no need to trailer them and haul to locations we want to cach at we can just hop the scoots and go.
