Gotcha. I got it to give me 1/4" play w the throttle.
I put the bowl back on the bottom, after fastening the 3 screws I noticed I forgot to put the gasket back in so had to un-do it, put the gasket back in and refasten it. I put the A/F screw 2.5 turns out while I was at it and then fastened the carb back on in the front and back. I turned the gas switch on and then opened the drain and gas came out so I closed up the drain and left the gas in the on position. Its time to start it up I guess.
I have gas in the bowl. Do I need to spray gas into the intake manifold still? if so how much?
raford- 60 is nice. enjoy the bike ride

Here I just took a quick short Video of the throttle grip with a little play, notice I have a little play before it actually pulls.

Thanks Alley, I know what you're saying. I can turn the throttle about 1/4" before I see the butterfly start to open.
I set the idle screw screw so its ALMOST touching the tab. So thats where Im starting at. I know that doesnt mean much for a setting until I hear it and see the back wheel spin. So if I start it and its like holy crap high rev, wheel spinning like crazy, I want to go counter clockwise on the idle screw right?

GREAT!! It may be that you need to turn the IDLE SPEED SCREW CLOCKWISE a little because it may be all the way CLOSED IF YOU HAVE TO HOLD the throttle a little open to keep it running. IF so give it about a 1/8 turn or so CLOCKWISE to raise the IDLE. It doesnot take MUCH to raise or lower the IDLE. Alley

I FOTGOT YOUR CARB HAS A PUMP, so if you twist the throttle a couple of times it will shot some gas into the intake JUST AS IF YOU squirted some gas with the sygrine(DUH). Alley

Alley the last 2 posts you posted I read after I tested out the scooter and the cool thing is, I figured out both of the things you said as I was starting the scooter.
The video says its going to take an HOUR to load. Geeze its only about 5 min long!
I won't keep you waiting ..... sucess! It works! I took it for a test drive and all went well. A bonus is the turning lights actually work again. Maybe it was water in the electricals and after a month it totally dried out? I don't know Im happy to not have to deal with that now though. The fuel gauge was working when I started off then stopped working at the end of the ride. It has always worked on and off. Ive had the sensor in and out of the tank several times when I kept having to remove the tank to work on the " custom fuel system " . It seems okay, nothing sticking, the plate is on tight so I have no idea. Not a huge issue for me though at the moment. I know Alley has a trick for fixing it but I'll get into that at some other point if I feel like it.
I'll post the video when its done loading. At one point in the video Alex yells down " is it working? " from his window and im all nervous and unsure as he asks me so Im give him an annoyed " i dont know yet !!" or something to that effect. kinda like leave me alone! im busy! LOL!! People were staring at me as I drove around because I had a camera rubberbanded to the top of my hat LOL!
Thanks for all your help guys !!!!!
PS - Alley 2 quick questions... 1) I know I can adjust the A/F screw to get it to the highest idle possible then adjust the idle screw until its almost to the point of the back wheel spinning to fine tune it all but should I just leave well enough alone and not mess with it since its working fine right now? Or do you think I should fine tune it?
2) should I turn the gas switch OFF if im going to have my scooter off longer than ____ min? Like if its gonnna be longer than 30 min say? or before that or longer?

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAa, GREAT JOB WOMAN!!!!!! FANTASTIC!!! That is sure music to my ears I tell you. How is it running good and does it move out when you crank on the throttle. If it is running a little ragged you know how to TWEAK the fuel Ratio Screw just a little at a time one way or the other 1/8-1/4 turns is all. Alley

If it is running good LEAVE IT ALONE(HEHE), like they say if it AIN"T Broke don't fix it. And you can leave the Valve on if its not over hours. Minutes and stuff is just fine. You will know if the Shut off in the BOWL is not strong enough to hold it shut, you will have gas comeing out either in the Air Filter or it will flood it. If you smell gas after it is sitting then you know you should shut the VALVE off. Ride Safe Alley P.S I am waiting wanting to HEAR THAT SUCKER RUNNING ;D

Regarding the Fuel guage, for the time being you can use a little thin stick and just carry it under the seat. And you can put a couple of marks on it. And just stick the stick down and see how much gas is still in the tank so you don't run out. You can fix this in the WINTER when you cannot ride due to snow and below freezing(YEA RIGHT). ;D Alley
