BUMMER!! Yea that battery is garbage. It will be intresting to see if the CVT spins the Rear Wheel when on the centerstand. Now make sure you either have the front tire against something so it does not lurch off the centerstand. Do not hold the REAR BRAKE you can hold the Front Brake. Alleyoop

Check the hole on the intake manifold where the petcock was attached and make sure it is well plugged, cause it sounds like your carb isn't operating the needle valve. It does that with engine vacuum which depends on everything being sealed up good.

Thanks Alley, will do. Thanks Radford3. It is well plugged I put a vac cap on the spot where the vac hose from the petcock was attached. True could be a needle valve issue, however I think that has to do with it having issues at higher speeds, I will put it on my to check list though. I checked all the carb attachments to the manifold etc. and its all on tight

The needle begins to operate a little at 1/4 throttle opening the fuel channel used when running at speed. Your power and your rent would be free in Richmond.

It must be awful hot down there. I used to know a couple that split their time between Michigan and Florida, seemed like the best of both places. Why do you want to marry and ruin a good thing?

So anyway... ... battery is charged. Went out to try it and I think I beat the world record for fastest battery kill ever. 20 seconds. Check the vid: ( It wont even start with a full battery now ) Its dark now so tomorrow I'm going to charge it up AGAIN then make a video of what it does with a 100% full just charged battery. I should have done that today. I think if you see every detail of how its acting it may help u help me figure it out better, I'll check to see if the back tire spins too.

Ok, what the problem is right now is that the BENDIX is not in all the way and engageing the LITTLE STARTER GEAR. If you remember when the last time you checked it when we thought it was a bad BENDIX. The Reason it is not in all the way is because the DAMN CVT COVER HOLDS the BENDIX Shaft in place(DAMN DAMN DAMN). You Need a THIRD HAND TO HOLD the Bendix up straight and back for it to work. A piece of wood against the Shaft to hold it in place will work. BUT Like I said you need a third hand while someone attempts to start it. The other possiability is start it and THEN take the cvt cover off, being very carefull NOT to let the cover hit the Variator and or Clutch which will be spinning(THAT I THINK IS LEFT FOR MORE EXPERIENCED PERSON).
So we are in a bind to actually see what the CVT is doing. Alleyoop
P.S. Try turning turning the Variator COUNTER CLOCKWISE only and see if the belt also moves as you turn it. Also see if the Variator is loose on the Shaft if it is loose you will be ablt to rock it in and out.

Blah, that's true, forgot about the bendix and it needing to have something against it. I could try to start it then take the cover off but first I would have to practice taking the cover off 100% straight out and not touching anything a few times. I won't have a 3rd hand here for another week ( when my best friend flies down from NY ) and I'd like to have it FIXED by then. LOL. Tomorrow I'll charge it up, practice taking the cover off straight and then perhaps try to get it started w the cover on, then taking it off. Only thing is, if I take the cover off while its running and the bendix doesnt have anything pressing on it anymore will it still run? Does it just need to be pressed in all the way to start? Thanks! P.S. I'll ( tomorrow

I am rethinking not to start it and then take the cover off, reason is the bendix will move out and could hit the spinning Variator and you may get injured. SO LETS FORGET ABOUT THAT OK. Just try to check the Variator and turning it. Let me ask you have you taken the Variator off before. Maybe take it off and check the weights they may be hung up or the V Guides messed up. I do not want to see you get hurt. Alleyoop

Thanks. I won't do that then. No I have not taken the variator off before. It SOUNDS like something is jammed up inside there and restricting it from moving so could be that.

Yea that would be the Weights and or V guides that broke and jamming it so that the Variator does not push out and keeps the belt just about where it is at at the bottom. Alleyoop
