i need to know what a stock size on a variator for most 50cc gy6 scooters anyone know for sure i have a 2009 50cc lifan but iam sure most are the same size stock and if i buy a bigger one do i need to change my drive started stock one in other words if i go bigger will the other side need to be larger

They differ so greatly that you will just have to measure it. I have learned this the hard way.
