I really like your extra breaklight.. I am always "scared" the car behind will not notice the break lights during the day.. but led seems to shine bright enough to be seen

Wow, I've been reading though this post, excellent info. I've always admired the seating on these scoots, just never liked that 80"s front end...lol. Boy they do look comfy!
I've had my eye on those same exact running lights you installed, do they function well as far as shooting down the road a bit? Or are they more or less a fog light? I saw them online but then discovered the local parts store down the street has them in 2 different sizes. One is a 4 led light, the other is a 5 like you have.

My wife said she saw me coming through a well lit intersection in Chelsea and she said I looked like a Christmas tree coming through...no way anybody could miss me. The ones I have on there really helped me see on the dark country roads coming home and use hardly any electrical resources. I put a meter on the system and turned the LEDs on and it barely registered. The Fashion's stator and R/R are very resilient and won't even notice the addition of those lights, or even more just like them. I talked to a cop and he said point as many white lights forward, yellow lights back, or red lights back that you like. He said do NOT use blue LEDs anywhere, you will get a ticket. Yes, it is very comfy, a couch scooter as they say. Not quite as good as the SYM, I'm not sure why. Maybe because you're going so damn fast on the SYM you don't think about your muscles, just your arse. Rich

Untill a few days ago i thought the Honda Helix was the most uggly scooter i ever saw. In the last few days i changed my mind completely and i feel a urge to get one or a new clone made in China. The futuristic 1980's design took some time to seduce me but now i love it Great Thread full of information @bashan

I felt the same way when I first saw it. As I read about it I understood why it was constructed that way. Everything is built for longevity and relative ease of access. A well cared for Helix will last over 100,000 miles easily and the highest known one topped 228,000.

Thanks. It broke a transmission shaft, easily replaced and cheap, early on but has been flawless since. Getting parts and servicing it has been a breeze. Honda was really on the mark with this design even as unattractive as it looks. They should build an updated version that looks like the Vultus with a Forza engine. That would be a worthy successor.

If you get one go with a CF Moto, they are vastly superior to the other clones. John at Valley Scooters is selling them for $1,800 plus some shipping! Here's a link. There are still parts out there for them. Rich

Bashan thanks for the info. I contacted John Dikov and got this message: "Sorry, the CF Moto's are no longer available. The scooters we currently have in stock are the ZNEN made 50cc & 150cc scooters listed under the "Motorino Scooters" tab on our Website. Sincerely, John Dikov" I also contacted my provider in China (i bought a couple of containers from them so we are in a good relation) Zhejiang Geely and they say they don't produce they're version of it. ". Re Honda Helix model, this model is too old, the parts supplier do not supply the concerning parts to us if the order quantity is small. Hence, we have to stop production for this model now" So no CF Moto Fashion for me. On a related news i was surprised that the original used Honda Helix is cheap in Portugal
