Anyone have this happen for no reason? I got to work and the trunk lid was almost in 2 pieces. Looks like it started at the latch hole where the rivets go thru. Heck and I was going to show the difference between my Jonway trunk and the SunL because the Jonway closes nicely - short flat rivets holding the latch. The SunL doesnt close properly because the latch is mounted with nuts and bolts and interferes with closing. Well at least the SunL isn't cracked to bits. Attachments:

it will probably be possible to repair the lid but extremely hard to make the repair invisible. because it is so thin and because it will be so close to a viewers eyes. i have 2 of them that came with my 150. i am really surprised one or the other has not cracked being ridden on a rough dirt road, 2 miles to black top. one is on my riva which has a tad better suspension and a few pounds heavier.
to repair you will super glue the crack back together then take a small soldering iron and melt zip ties into the under side of the case bridging the crack. should you be able to get the super glue perfect the melted zip ties should be able to keep all in place. do drill all ends of the crack if they have not broke through to stop the crack from traveling more.
the head light housing on my carino cracked on the inside. the vibration from this broke the head light bulb filament. under it i have a large tube of jb weld. i would probably tried the zip ties but did not know about them then. be very careful with the super glue as this is just to temp hold all together so you can make a permanent repair. john
