There have been many comments on this forum about inadequate lights on Chinese scooters. My wife and I just completed a three-week tour in China, where we spent time in about half a dozen major cities. I think I discovered why Chinese scooters have very poor lighting. Probably 98% of scooters being operated in China during night time hours were being ridden without lights (headlights or taillights). So the Chinese don't care about the quality of lights on their scooters because they almost never use them! Mike ;D

I talked to a lady recently that has spent each vacation traveling the world for the past 20 years. She's been everywhere, Russia, Morocco, Turkey, China, etc. She saw my Fashion in the parking lot the other day which prompted her to comment about scooters she's seen in her travels. She said they are EVERYWHERE overseas epecially in Asia. People often use them as their only means of transportation and it's not unusual to see someone dressed up going to some function or the scooter piled high with groceries and several passengers. They drive recklessly weaving in and out of traffic with frequent collisions. She said that just about everyone knows how to work on their scooter and keep it cobbled together. Rich
