Hi, I am new at this and I have a familiar problem with my 08 SunL250-22. After 850 miles the headlights and tail lights stopped working. I changed the 4 fuses, checked connections under fuse box but nothing. Later, the horn, break lights and passing hi beam light stopped working also. The hazard lights and directional signal lights still work. Are there other fuses or connections I should check? Please help!

a good place to look is the the grounds. get a digital volt meter and learn to use it. there are wiring diagrams in our library. even with out a wiring print you could still trouble shoot with the meter. the engine is ground and it must be present on one terminal of the headlight. the other terminal has to have 12 volts. good luck. john

I'm afraid John is correct, you've had some connectors and maybe grounds come loose and you'll have to trace them down. You're going to have to pull some body plastic to find the faults. The continuity function on your meter will work well to find which circuits are intact and which aren't. Rich

You'd be hard pressed to find a wiring diagram specific for a SunL 250. However, this one is pretty generic and should help you trace your wiring:
As you can see with one light after another failing you have multiple circuits involved. It will be difficult to pin the cause on just one component. Rich

Hey guys, thanks for all your help. I removed most of the plastic to look for any loose/broken wires. A real PITA. After a half day looking and finding nothing, I was ready to give up and pay someone to fix it. I decided to look closely one more time at a connector with wires leading to the fuse block, right below it . I noticed that one of the wires (brown) was loose in the connector and was almost out. I pushed the wire back in tight and the problem was solved!! I am happy that I found the problem myself, but pissed because that connector was easily accessible without the removal of any of the body plastics. Anyway, I am tired and I'll reinstall the plastics tomorrow. Thanks again guys.

Good Job, those push in connectors if orginally they were not pushed in all the way will come loose to vibrations and going over bumps and what not. You can also tape them up so they do not come apart. Alleyoop
