tonight was eve of regis's last show. dave letterman gave regis a shiny red vespa. regis got on and promptly dropped it at about 5mph! i about crapped, that was way to new to ding up! anyway dave got on with regis on the back and rode off too end his show.
i thought that was a boost for scooters, but then regis dropped it. guess it just goes to show that new riders still need some instruction. john

If Letterman sprung that on him without any warning it's typical of his callous predatory attitude. Regis is a great guy with a lot of heart, of course he would give it a go. Very embarassing but knowing him he'll shake it off and get a hoot out of it. Rich

It reminds me of when Letterman had that teenage kid try to parallel park on that crowded New York street knowing he was doomed to humiliation. The guy is a self absorbed jerk that thinks other's failures are entertainment; apparently millions agree. Watch Conan instead, he's got a heart. Rich
