Hey everyone. Finally decided, after many months of pursuing leads on Craigslist on a 2010 Peace Sports 50cc. The actual model escapes me at the moment but it's a "commuter" (I've seen that classification on a scooter forum somewhere.) Looking forward to learning from all of you.

Good to have you on the forum, I imagine there are a lot of scoots and bikes Florida with the all year round riding. There are a few other Florida troops on here as well.
Have fun and if you run into any problems with your scoot just open a thread with what appears to be the problem. The troops will chime in and try to help and diagnose what the problem could be or is.

Thanks Alleyoop. Yes the weather here is great for riding. This is actually my first scooter. My fiance and I treated each other to scooters for Christmas.

Florida is great for winter riding! I'm looking forward to getting my scooter back on the streets for the upcoming season, just been slow going with my schedule. Josh - are you still working on that thing? <thread jacking> Larry, unfortunately yes, I'm still working on it. Just have not had the time. It is running, but not road worthy. I'm 99% sure the timing is off a few teeth and I need to get a new muffler. It shouldn't be more than a Saturday to get it running right, but I haven't had one of those free in a long time. The body plastic is another story, but I should have it 100% soon. Also, if all goes to plan, there will be a new bike for next summer. Probably a motorcycle. I really like the look of the Kawasaki Versys. </thread jacking> |
