So this morning I went out to ride my scooter to work and this cord was laying on the ground. Here is a pic on the end of the cord. It is kind of hard to tell but its just a point - look as if it plugs into something. I have no idea what this cord is or where it goes. Can anyone help? It comes off my front tire on the other side of the disc brake. I will be taking the front off my scooter tomorrow to try to ascertain where it came from but am curious as to what, exactly it is since nothing seems to be malfunctioning on my scooter. Many thanks.

That is your SPEEDO CABLE, you will find a Screw on type piece somewhere along the cable. The screw on slides over the metal part in the second picature where the cable is sticking out and screws into the back of your Instrument panel right in back of your speedo. Screw it back on into the back of the instrument panel they sometimes vibrate loose if they are not on nice and snuge. Alleyoop

It looks like your speedometer cable. If not damaged it should screw in to the adapter that is mounted on the front axle.

I'm assuming the your speedometer doesn't work because that is your speedometer cable in the first picture. The other end that has a nasty kink in it screws into the back of the speedometer. You might be able to straighten that out but I would buy one from any of our vendors. There's a vendors board and vendor specials board you can peruse. You can call most of them and get tech help. If that cable keeps falling off you should remove so that it doesn't get entangled in the wheel; that can be dangerous. If you need further help do not hesitate to post again. Rich
