Ok do you have a RELAY on it the positive cable goes to one of the terminals and then the starter wire goes to the other terminal. Alleyoop If you do is the plug connected to the start plug connector. lol Also to make sure your starter is good and its connected right, JUMP the RELAY TERMINALS with a piece of wire, pliers screwdriver and IT SHOULD spin your starter. Did you have the Valve Cover Vent hose Plugged or the Hose Kinked and not open to the air and caused a lot of pressure? When you got the motor did it look NEW or RE-BUILT if re-built they may not have torqued it right. Also could have been a defect REMEMBER where you got the motor(HEHE). You didn't rev it up really high just sitting there without a load did you? Alleyoop

No it should be a little higher on the front so that the oil coming up into the valve cover drains back down the chain hole slot and back into the crankcase. Alleyoop
