I know I'm not one to talk but it seems most scooter forums are laced with venom. What gets to me are the people who own high priced scooters making snide comments about Chinese scooters. It might be nice to remember that people buy what they can afford. People come to scooter forums for answers to problems so they can fix their cheap rides without resorting to $80/hr. shop rates, if they can even find a shop. I've seen rows of big four bikes in repair bays waiting for service. Everything breaks or needs service sooner or later. Your SYM, Kymco, Honda, Vespa, Yamaha will need work no matter how much you paid for it. Also keep in mind how ridiculously cheap used bikes are. Someone who doesn't mind gears can find a bike that can run with a T-Max for around $1000 on Craigslist. I'm glad there are people who can afford $5500 Kymco 300 GTs and $7000 Vespa 300s but I could fill my garage with bikes and Chinese scooters between 50 and 250cc for that kind of money. Oh, and if we're talking about people constantly slamming the other guy, let's not leave out Terra Nuvo, aka Earthman. It must be nice to be so perfect. I, at least, admit I'm a PIA. Hey Jim, thank you for being part of this discussion. Thanks for sharing that thought with us. And your right, that's exactly how I feel. As I mentioned on a pass quote following what Rapidjim had commented. As you mentioned, you can start to see more and more of this laced with venom. It's true! It doesn't matter weather you have a Kymco or a Chinese scooter. Bottom line, it's going to cost you $80.00 an hour to fix any of the two. I agree! People come to forums to get answers. Not to hear gossip, and indifferences between the members. Thanks for share that with us Jim. By the way, I like site you put up. Please keep coming back.

Every one I know here speaks good of Jim and Rapid Repair. Heck he has helped me more than a few times. I have given his number to several people for parts and advice, there sure is no one here that knows scooters. That vendor stuff really sucks...Hope it poops back on the one that started it all.

Venom is a great word to discribe what I was talking about.
As far as the Vendor discussion goes I had the same problem with an other vendor/dealer when I first came on ScootDawg and I wasn't the only one. This person was always "hijacking" posts and offering the part for less or PMing the author directly. . Not only that, he was bad mouthing other dealers/vendors. A lot of times it wasn't even the same quality part. Needless to say as time went on he moved on to bigger and better things and isn't seen around much anymore, at least as far as part sales are concerned.
Don't get me wrong. Competition can be a good thing. What people have to also consider is the post service and support after the sale. The cheapest price is not always the way to go and could wind up costing you more in the long run.
The more I think about the "original " post that started this. I truefully think it came from a person that has an axe to grind with ScootDawg and took it upon himself to cause hate and discontent there and attempt to drive people from there to other boards that he is a member of. As I have said before, all the boards have some great people and some we would rather see leave, or just not post. I for one, try and look past the bad and participate on all 3 boards. If or when I have an issue that drives me from a board or makes me feel the need to leave, I will do so quietly, without drama and not burn any bridges.

Jim/Owner Rapid Repair I agree with you Jim a 150%. I too hate to the hijacking post. As you may already know I recently had a situation here with a new forum member (vendor) who came from ScootDawg doing the same. Posting treads/qoutes that were just attacking my business from all angles. Using other forum members to just stir up negativity. This week I recently found a post (from a new member on this forum) that this same member posted on ScootDawg doing the same exact thing. It seems he came he came from ScootDawg with bad habits he picked up at the other forum just mentioned. Not only does he hurt my business, but he is also hurting the business that are posting there banners on this forum. Hey, I agree with when you say competition is good. But one thing is to sell a product at a good price, another is to give it away and make a peanuts for profit. What you do is hurt the other businesses that have been around longer. The actual guys/gals who started and kept this scooter industry going when the recession hit. Pretty much the same thing happened when to scooter dealers were selling scooters back in the days, trying to keep there businesses afloat. Then came these hijackers (as you say) started selling scooters out of there home garages in the ghetto, making a $25-$50 profit on each scooter. When you had scooter dealers who were suffering, paying high overhead cost trying to keep there businesses going. What happen? They all disappeared. And as for the PM's, we are no stupid. We have loyal members on this forum (and others) that tell us the negative remarks mentioned on the Personel Messages (PM) sent to them by these hijackers. Not only about us, but also about the other dealers on this forum as well. On the long run Jim, they shot themselves in the foot. I too can spare the drama. Dont need it, too busy. Have a business to run and a family to feed.

Reading this post I REALLY THINK ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, it has been beaten to death repeating the same thing over and over . I believe the lesson has been learned and hopefully will not happen again and if not it will be dealt with. Alleyoop

Okay...now that we got THAT out of the way.
Let's be like the "other" forum and open a poll and ask: If you could be a tree, what kind of tree would you be?

Sorry but that is why a lot of folks are on this forum and left the "UDER" forum. NO NEED FOR POLEs and dilly dallying and running around the bush, Say what you mean and or ask your question. NOBODY on this forum has to be afraid of being banned for their opinions and or questions. Alleyoop
