I had a request for a chat room so I activated the function. It's at the bottom of the main forum page and you should be able to sign in with your regular user name.....no password. IMPORTANT: To stay signed in click the third icon from the bottom right and detach the window. Then you can minimize the window, stay signed in, and restore the chat window on any page of the forum. See what you think and let me know by responding on this thread, send me a PM, or use the chat room! Rich

for some reason my computer wont install java lol so i cant give any feed back untill i get that solved.

I'm getting reports of quite a few bugs associated with the chat room. Number one is getting the program working and number two is it may affect how the forum in general operates. I'll try to work through this today and determine if the chat room is beneficial or detrimental. Rich

it doesnt effect how the forum runs for me, it just wont work because my computer will not let me download java. there are other chat programs you can use. ive designed a few back in my html and scripting days. i can see if i can make one if you like

Sure, get me the code and I'll install it in the footer. The worst that could happen is that it's not Proboards compatible. I'm not real happy with the way this one is working. It's freezing up the scroll on my mouse for one thing. Rich

Having problems on my IMac can't get to this site and stay so I have to use my IPhone which is a pain to type on

bashan, site is working well and chatroom is too, just real quiet in there.

Ha, I can't do anything about the quiet in the room, members are just going to have to start using it to solve that. Somebody referred to that as "crickets in here". Rich

they sure do! im going to reformat my computer. be back in a few hours. that should clear up my java issues. then i can use the chat THANKS ADMIN for putting up the chat

If I click on the site on my Imac it locks up the Imac. Now using the PC for my security cameras.

No, I took it down. I have a function in the admin panel where I can see the activity and very few people were signing in......not at the same time either. I was getting a lot of complaints from folks that weren't using it at all that it was messing with them viewing the main page of the forum. It just didn't seem worth the hassles. I left it up for about 3 months. Rich
