Id, That is the wrong screw that you turned, THAT IS THE IDLE SPEED screw. The screw is the FUEL RATIO screw which is on the other side LOOK at the carb pictures I put up and locate the FUEL RATIO screw on the other side. Alleyoop

Bashan : " Those kick starters are a PITA! That's why I took them off of my scooters. Well, actually I just didn't feel like wrestling with it like you did when I reassembled them"
I'll agree with you there Rich. It's a big learning expierence dealing with them for the first time. When I reassembled the Roketa's engine last March and in Oct I said the h-ll with the kickstart during reassembly after some very "colorfull" words and a few sore fingers afterwords when the d#$% spring end didn't stay on its perch . ! I just hope the Stella's kick start mechanisim is easier to deal with than my totaled roketa was .

See the Air/Fuel Ratio Screw to the near the front of the CARB. That is the screw you want to 1st turn Clockwise until it stops and then turn it out 2 1/2 turns and see if it stays running. Alleyoop The Screw you turned all it does is RAISE OR LOWER YOUR IDLE. Turning that SCREW CLOCKWISE RAISES your IDLE and COUNTER CLOCKWISE LOWERS your idle. Once you get it to IDLE and WARMED up for at least 5 minutes You want to set the IDLE SO YOUR REAR WHEEL JUST WANTS TO TURN.

More from me . I just saw your youtube video . Pull the sparkplug after turning the engine over a few times. If it smells of fuel , The carb is flooding the cylinder with too much gas. The sparkplug will tell you if your getting too much or too little fuel (a/e ltoo leaned out) .I would also check for spark from the plug itself when turning over the engine . It never hurts to have a spare plug just incase. If there is spark from the plug., then its your carb needing to be reset. The fuel air screw needs to be screwed all the way in and then turned out about 2 and a half full turns . Thats the starting point . The sparkplugs tailend is a good measure of whats happening to the fuel air mix. Black means too rich , It needs to be a tan color if I remember correctly (same on a stella 2 T engine) . The auto choke is not controlable by the rider. Once the scoot's engine warms up it backs off completely . This sounds like an issue I just had on my stella. One other issue is is the fuel getting from the tank to the carb itself ? There is a vacume hose attached to the fuel cock below the tank. No fuel to the carb means possible vaccume issue, check your vacume hoses aswell . Thats where I would start off at . Will

ID, DAMN!! You have a Carb that they PLugged up the Fuel Ratio Screw. I am sure that is what the problem is Your Engine looks really clean and new. What they do is set the CARBS really LEAN to pass emissions. They run ok in CHINA but not here where it gets cold and we have COLD AND HOT temps.
Well Id you have TWO CHOICES, you can drill out the PLUG or get a NEW carb which has the Fuel Ratio Screw NOT PLUGGED up. Now many have done both so it is no surprise to anyone. But in either case you will have to take the Carb off.
One more thing you can try is Take the Fuel HOSE OFF THE CARB and catch the fuel in a container and crank the ENGINE JUST TO MAKE sure fuel is ACTUALLY REACHING THE CARB. If it is you can only try one more thing and that is to BLOCK some air from coming in from the AIR FILTER(that will cut down on the AIR and Allow the little bit of fuel to maybe keep it going but that is ONLY a TEMP fix to verify that it is STARVING for fuel. Let me know what you want to do about the CARB buy one they run around $30.00 or so bucks or Drill out the PLUG. Alley

Here is what the plug looks like. If your going to drill it out just get small bit and then get a littl screw and screw it just enough that it grabs and turn it clockwise while pulling on it. Alley

Yea you can say(SOB) that again and they do that so customers do not mess with the carb. But they forget they are set and tested at the factory where their enviroment is way different than ours. Alley Yea here is one video how to drill it out and the screw is behind it:

ok only really cause it's getting late and getting frustrated....... If I where to restrict airflow to carb, what are the side effects to this #1. #2 how to restrict, would I need to restrict prior to the air filter like taping half the air intake, or after air filter (which is a little scarier if what ever i use happens to come loose) Your thoughts? I'll end up drilling it out, but starting to get tired and need to find my metal drill bits.
