This thread is concerning scooter chrome parts and the email messages i have been receiving. Just a quick note, i hold no personal grudge against and i look highly towards scooter chrome parts. I believe that maybe its a glitch in his mailing system. But getting down to it, is it just me, or does anyone else receive 6 emails a day from them? Today i received 6 emails. 3 were the same concerning Dr.pully variators and the other 3 were about racing crank shafts. I don't think its cool to spam so many emails in one day over the same items. Now i must add though the emails were about the same items, theywere all worded slightly different. Another thing that was slightly irritating is the fact that they all were sent to me within a time frame of 20 minutes. Like i said, it could very well be an error on his half. As soon as i have a chance to get on the computer i will take screen shots to support this thread. Again this is not a hateful thread and i express much respect for scooter chrome parts. Thanks for reading guys

yeah i would hate to mark as spam though because i enjoy knowing when he updates his inventory. it would be nice if all of the items were in ONE email instead of 6 different ones. like i said though maybe its an error that he didnt properly set up his auto email or something.

yeah its like my giant file cabinet. if my computer goes down, i still have alot of stuff stored on email in which i can pull up from any where any time. i also work on computers so if im out fixing somebodies computer i can jump on my email to get a hold of programs that i can use to fix their computer. such as the windows XP service packs which microsoft no longer supports. cant find em anywhere but i know somebody who has sp1-3 in their email besides google is constantly upgrading the amount of email storage, right now im not even using 5% of the limit. it looks like alot of emails to look through when your trying to find one email but all you do is type in the search bar while your in the email and it plucks out the exact email your looking for every time. works good for me

Must be people over there are not buying and are looking for business over here.

One way to stop it IS HIDE go into your profile and hide your email address and then go and get a different email address.

Or set it up if its from a certain email sender have it go to your junk email folder.

well the thing about his site is you have to sign up to view anything so once you sign up you get spammed with emails, should have put a new email account on there. i dont remember being spammed by him before so maybe its a problem that could be in the process of being fixed as we speak/type.

Yea I hate sites that require you to sign up crap your there to maybe buy something. What I do if a site happens to have something that I want to buy and they require you to sign in is go and create a funky email sign up check it out and if I don't buy I just delete the email account. I will usually leave it active until I recieve the merchandise and then go and delete it.

But usually I will NOT sign up if required and just go someplace else. Most sites give you the option to sign up or just come on as a customer. I do not like to be pushed into something I may only use a couple of times. Also they should have an option to OPT out from receveing emails from them.

It definitely makes bad business sense to piss off the potential customers. I agree, in that if a site requires me to sign up for it I will pass and go to the next site.

I understand the need to collect info for marketing purposes, but in the end it just upsets the customer. I'm one who practices what he preaches too. I allow someone to buy from my website without forcing them to create an account.

I usually pass on viewing a picture that some one posts where you need to sign up to see that picture also. Any business that spams me forces me to look elsewhere to shop even if they do have a good deal, ...............................I will not be part of the problem. And I do use the spam filter in Thunderbird freely. The first spam I get, gets marked as junk and they are history.
