I don't think parts will be as much of a problem as you think either. There have been many thousands of those elite scooter made from 50cc right up to either 200 or 250. That one is old enough to qualify for an antique plate in AR. My 83 has an antique plate that cost me either 6 or 9 bucks and is good for life. Never a registration or tag fee ever again. There are a lot of states that people would cry over that, having to pay over a hundred a year! Fl., Il, and many more. Even if I had an old scooter with a blown engine that old or older, I would be thinking of an engine swap. For a antique plate they are supposed to be stock,....but who knows what is under the tupper ware. john

Well I got the Honda home .I could not take a battery or anything to test the engine with ,I got it at a whole lot less than the $200 ,so I had to take it the way it was .I got here checked the oil ,oil came rushing out ,it was mixed with gas .The fuel shut valve is bad .When I unplugged the vacuum line there was fuel there to flooding the engine real bad .I changed the oil .blocked off the vacuum line and it blasted right off .Fuel valve ,tag new battery and it will be ready .

Get them old rotten tires changed too. Don't want to be reading about them or a valve stem wrecking you. That scooter will probably have the old style 3.5x8 or 10 tires on it and a nice set of pirellis won't cost much and you should be able to mount them your self. The 10's are a bit easier to change than an 8 though. On my yamaha it had tires that still had the tits on them but 10 years or better old and were as hard as a rock, and I had a valve stem crack off while I was at speed and that is one ride you don't want to duplicate. john
