OK - not scooter related. Friday was hot - new record at 81 degrees. I was clearing out the old flower beds and tilling my new garden. My tiller jammed up with roots etc and I sat down to clear it. I was wearing shorts because of the heat. Friday night, there was a little irritation on my upper thigh. Saturday it was worse. I checked it out and found a deer tick embedded. We got it out and yesterday I went to the doc's and had to get a prescription for doxycyline. She said it was good I got it out quickly and got treatment quickly. I shouldn't get Lyme Disease.
Be careful friends. The bad buggies are out there!

Just one? I have had as many as a dozen or more, then there are seed ticks around here, to get as many as 50 imbedded is common.
In ten min. sitting out side at a neighbors when I forgot the spray I must have had over 50 seed ticks under my socks. Started itching an hour later. They are pure hell to get out to. john

Good grief Larry, I hope to hell you're safe on that. Lyme can cause joint pain, nerve damage, cardiac damage, and can even be fatal in untreated cases. Good thing you had it checked. Rich

Thanks guys. I've been running around in the woods for over 50 years and never had a tick embedded until now.
