Cameron Beaubier, the third-place finisher in the Daytona 200 and the man who carries Yamaha's hopes of a 2012 Daytona SportBike Championship, has suffered a broken right kneecap and an injured right wrist in a scooter crash.
The 19-year-old Beaubier was riding his Yamaha Zuma 50 on the street when he clipped an "unseen hazard in the roadway." The incident didn't involve any other vehicles.
I guess, for him, racing 600cc bikes at 180 mph is safer that riding a scooter on the street.

I ride trikes for several reasons. They are somewhat safer than two wheels but still dangerous. If fall over on a trike, I'm doing something seriously wrong.

A bit off topic but if you all heard of Dar Roberson and how he died you simply wouldn't have guessed it would have been a MC accident of all things. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dar_RobinsonAs far as this guy.. humm guess the Zulema zuma just doesn't corner as well as a pro cycle Eh?
