i seem to inherited this problem. this scooter only has 39 miles on it and it will startup and idle but when you try to give it throttle it dies out. went thru the carb and looks are perfect played with a/f mixture a little with no change it just dies right out.fixed the fuel lines that were leaking, don't know if vac. fuel pump is working but the 2 fuel filters are filled full of fuel... which way to go next....any help would be great

Ok, Before you start it turn the Fuel Ratio Screw Clockwise UNTIL it stops. Then turn it out 2 1/2 turns. That is a good starting point for just about any scoot. It should start and run pretty good with that setting. That is usually a good Starting Point on the Fuel Ratio mixture fine tuneing can be done after IF it runs pretty good at that setting.
TWO FUEL FILTERS? you only need one 2 can slow the fuel flow to your carb. especailly if you have a Petcock which is just a gravity fed system.
Can you take a picture of the carb area and hoses from the PETCOCK to the carb etc.. Alleyoop

Well I have a Pegasus but it's a CF Moto. Yours is a Lifan so it's definitely good stuff. Sprocket is very familiar with those, maybe I can shake him out of his tree. I agree with Alley, two filters are very odd, some pics would help. Also, bogging and not being able to take throttle can arise from an intake leak. There's not enough vacuum to operate the CV carb. Make sure the intake manifold, filter, boxes, and all hoses are secure. Sometimes those upper tier scooters have a lot of pollution boxes with hoses that can come off. Rich

2 fuel filters is not stock and the are probably automotive filters...get yourself one fuel filter for a riding mower, generator, snowblower etc... If they were car filters then two filters would certainly restrict fuel flow...may be your whole problem.. but at least you can change to a gravity feed filter and rule that out... Even if you have a fuel pump... two filters will certainly restrict fuel flow Attachments:

Yea, I see they have a Fuel Filter Before the Petcock and one Fuel Filter After the Petcock. I would take the one between the Tank and Petcock off and leave the one right before the Carb on. Just make sure all the Fuel lines are all going downhill since it is gravity fed NO UP and down on the hoses. Everything else looks good to my eyeballs anyway. The hoses look good and not old and those are good hoses by the way. I have the same hoses on mine and they have been on there now for over 3 years. Alleyoop

The petcock is out of the frame at the top? Move that hose away from the rear spring coils.. they can and do get pinched...one filter is all you need
Also the spring clips at the 'T" are doing nothing...could have a vacuum leak.. best to replace them with 5" zip ties..

Any gas left in the fuel tank will get sucked into the jets and plug them.. it turns to varnish in months...if the scooter was stored with gas in the tank..it will plug..
Many people buy stored scooters for $200 because they don't run, clean the carb and sell them for $500++... not bad for 2 hours work!
