hello scooter people of the world heres a doozy

new plug

gravity/vac above carb petcock fuel feed is fine (it spit fuel on back tire) and test off vac line

Filter flow ok

blew gates vac/gas lines clean

all vac lines zip tied

new gas

new brake switchs/head lite (if that maters)

flote bowl will not fill,

Good spark with light out with plug laying out side aganst motor in dark.

cleaned carb 3 times now, blew carb cleaner threw gas intake to flote bullet and all other holes while cleaning carb.

polished flote bullet hole with q tips , it was dirty, polished bullet too.

manually filled gas///filter supply with gas.

opened bowle drain line screw and blew down gas filter supply line filled with gas supply/filter line--

bowle won't fill

if i put some gas down air gas intake it starts (like a huracan) for a moment and dies

stumped big time.

person who helps fix this gets my prayers for life.

last time i opened bowle it was bone dry.

Have you tried opening the gas cap to see if the fuel will flow when trying to start? Sometimes there is a vent in the cap which plugs up and can restrict the flow of fuel from the tank.

Question I would ask if are you sure you have the Hoses connected correctly. If so then i would say your INLET FUEL passage is CLOGGED. It has happened to only one other person that I know of. So take your carb off and stick a piece of wire through the Fuel inlet and or Spray some carb cleaner into the Fuel inlet and see if it comes out by the Float plunger.

I had the tank cap loose the whole time.

the gas line is clear,

I blew out the gas inlet threw till it came out float

the float (bullet) plug switch, plunger is stuck i think, i even polished the chute it moves in, I saw this as a great chance to learn a carb inside and out, big guy has the best vid in all the net.

I knew before i posted this would be a doozy, I spent 7 hours on this sucker today cause i thought it would be a great thing to out wit a "twilight Zone" problem, but it out witted me.

I am sore tired and my hands are a mess and i know every one of you have been there too.

man this phooooooking bike don't wan't to move

I am gonna go by band aids and pain killer cream for the cuts

I don't have little china hands

Yep the passage is plugged up or the plunger is stuck but you should be able to see that right off the bat. The plunger is connected to the float so what may be the case is the TAB is bent to much and holding it shut even when the float is down.
Here is how to adjust it

I saw that draughting chart to measure float play, i bent the flap (?)

so it had more play

bowl was dead dri when i opened/checked latter

I pulled gas feed off carb and doused my engine, it feeds.

with gas down the intake and a new plug it runs great for 5 seconds.

I found tripel anti-biotic pain reliefe ointment for shredded hands, great stuff

Tell you what PUT Pictures up of the carb area and the petcock you have something connected wrong if you did what I said to do and still no gas in the carb bowl.

Seems your float valve is not opening. sticking? Binding? Probably the best fix is a new quality Carburator, but I probably would not rest till I fixed it. Cheers

i think you may have the little wire hook on the float needle not put back in the correct place it is suppose to be hook around the little tap on the float not on top of it

Well we cannot tell unless he puts up pictures of it but that would do it and keep the fuel inlet closed and no gas gets into the carb.

I didn't think you could put the float needle on the float wrong.. the wire goes over the top of the metal tang and the float needle goes into the hole...

did you check the needle and seat? maybe the seat is causing the float needle to jam. so you have confirmed that fuel flows from the petcock to the carb? hey alley wasnt there an in depth video on here about rebuilding your carb that showed close ups of how to install the seat, needle, and float? maybe taking it all apart and re building all over again might solve?

We can all guess what is wrong with the float but, until he puts up pictures that is all we can do is guess.
If he took off the float I think it was put back wrong.

Pull the carb off and pull the bowl off. Hook a line up to the gas inlet on the carb and let the gas drain into it from the tank. See if it flows freely and then gently push the float up till the seat stops. Then release it and see if it's hung up somehow. Check the bowl vent and make sure it's not clogged. Make sure you don't have low spots in the gravity feed where gas will trap. Check to make sure the plunger is not stickking in the float seat., Buy a new carb. Rich
