Has anyone put a tach on their bike. If you have, how did you mount it and where did you get the tach? What type is is? Does any one have pictures. I need to mount one so I can tune the rpm's where I want them in the power band. Thanks

You can mount them anywhere you please on the handlebars on the scoots dash wherever you think it looks good and where you can see it as your riding. As for tachs you can google for them they have a lot of them on ebay all prices from 20.00 bucks on up. A lot of people get the Tiny Tach type. So google for Tiney Tach and pick whichever one apeals to you. Alleyoop www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=tiny+tach

Where do you want to mount it? I mean you can make your own mount if you can't find a mount for the tach you select that is a piece of cake man. You can even use velcro or sticky two sides tape or make a mount out of piece of flat thin aluimiun that you can get at a hardware store. Alleyoop

I had a tiny tach I just velcro'd it to the dash. I now have a koso digital dyno dash. This is how I mounted it. It came with bar mount but couldn't use them. The bracket is a 3" l bracket. Roy

Yea I just read the reviews and it seems it is not good for registering rpms, guess that is why it is so cheap. But then again some did say it worked so I guess it depends on the pick of the lot. Alleyoop

Each motor is different but anywhere 1500-1800 whereever it idles the smoothest, mine idles around 1600 or so the needle shows middle of 1K and 2K. Alleyoop

The 15.00 tack works fairley well /But the fla sun plays hell with the digital display. You need to give it's mounting a little more consideration than I did.
