I've been riding around the lake but hadn't ventured outside. Monday was nice and the scoot needed gas so I decided to ride into town. Texas Eastern is putting in a new gas pipeline up the way on the main road and there's a lot of construction activity so I thought I'd run in the back way. It sure was fun and scenic doing 45 mph on the twisties through farm country. I did about 20 miles round trip.
Bad side - 93 octane was $4.29!
When I got back, I decided to trim the forsythia out front that haven't been touched in years. I started at about 10, finished about 2PM. I thought I was going to croak off from the heat. At 6 PM, it was still 87 degrees.

No riding around here it has been windy as heck all week, gusts up to 30mph every day winds in the 20s no fun battling the wind so no riding.

My wife is ahead of me for rides to work this week, two to one but I'll get even today. so far this year I've taken the scooter to work ten times which is about ten times more than last year at this point. I've saved about sixty bucks in gas over using the car, not to mention the fun in riding to work.
